Summer dreams that come true

Which include but are not limited to...

~Raising enough money for school so I won't be using my parents retirement money.
~Finding a cheap plane ticket with a window seat.
~Getting all the classes/ credits I need and want.
~Finding an affordable very nice apartment with the amenities I need/want. (washer/dryer, dishwasher, private bedroom w/ own bathroom, walking distance to campus, amazing roommates, pool, workout room)
~Meeting incredible new friends and being able to hang out with my old friends
~Having an unforgettable summer
~Having my bff come visit me in Utah
~Staying at BYU for fall and being accepted at BYU year round
~Dating the unbelievable guy who decides to stay in Utah and work instead of going to another state

But alas, we can't get everything we want. Somehow everything will work out though...I think I'll go eat some melted chocolate and it'll all be better. haha

It’s about being grateful for what you have….

I am extremely thankful for all the wonderful things I have in my life. Events have taken place and it’s that time of the year to evaluate one’s life. And that’s exactly what I have been doing. So here is goes…

First off, my parents are incredible people. They really have been an example to me and have raised me right. They relate to me and always truly have my best interest at heart. I’m thankful that I have not been that child that does not get along with their parents. I’ve always been able to talk with my parents and understand them. They have always let me make my own choices and let me do my own thing, but always been just in reach. They have always loved me for me and I will never be able to thank them for all they have done for me, let alone the strong love they have given me. I also really appreciate their love for each other. There is so much power in that bond and I hope to have a love like that one day. I’m glad they set the example for me to get a temple marriage. I hope to raise a family just like they have raised me and my siblings. They have taught us the power of the gospel and the affect it can have on us. I’m thankful they were raised right and have taken after their parents examples. I’m thankful that they have testimonies that never waiver. My parents have been a good foundation in my life and have really showed me the importance of the gospel. I’m grateful for my parents.

Second of all, I’m thankful for the rest of my family. My brothers…I’m glad that I was never an only child and that all my brothers came before me. They definitely keep life entertaining. I’m thankful for all those years I got to take care of them and they in return have helped me learn to look for the right guys to date and eventually the guy I will someday marry. I look for the man who’s a lot like my brothers and father. I’m thankful that I was the only girl and that I am the baby. They have really looked out for me, and really taken care of me. I am glad that they are always just a phone call away. I’m also thankful for the new additions to my family that have and will eventually happen. Kara is a wonderful sister in law and I couldn’t ask for a better one. I’m glad she is apart of my family now. I’m grateful for my family.

Third, I’m thankful for the people who have touched my life, for good or bad. Those people have made me into who I am today. I’m thankful for those friends that I can always turn to and who just call randomly to say they care about me. I’m thankful for those so called “angels” in my life. I’m grateful for friends.

Last but not least, I am thankful for God’s hand in my life. It’s there in everything I do. Without the Lord and all that he has done for me, I would not exist and be surrounded by all these wonderful things. I love the power of prayer. I love how I can talk to him without judgment and feel His overwhelming, never-ending love. I love how no matter what somehow my prayers are always answered. I’m thankful that the Lord really is looking out for me. The simple things He does for me to remind me of his presence. He’s constantly there and for that I am eternally grateful.

"Gratitude is the memory of the heart. "
