Michael Buble

I was on facebook and my friend posted this video. It's awesome. This kid has a good voice. I especially loved Michael's reaction. Ha. Sorry for the language. Who knew Michael Buble was such a potty mouth? For a classy guy, he lost a lot of my respect when he started talking. Stick to singing Michael.

Then I went to a related video which I also found entertaining. Josh Groban and Michael Buble. Nice.

Uh, I wanted to do this thing for one of my posts but that can wait until another time. Ha. Ps. 90% off Valentine's Target shopping with Mama yesterday was a success! They had some good stuff that I've had my eye on. Canvas pictures, heart vase, plates, picture frames, and naturally a ton of candy. I also went to Ikea and got some more stuff for my room. Wooo

People, People, People

I know I just posted. Maybe this will be a little much for one day, but after I posted my Valentine's Day post I read some of my drafts from posts I never posted (Post was said a lot there, right?). I discovered this little beauty. Sometimes, I find myself extremely funny...this is one of those times. I wrote this. I don't even remember what exact people I was ranting about, but it still holds true today and let's be honest it's a good chuckle.

The People
I would just like to take the time now to mention certain people in my life that I have recently encountered. Maybe you'll relate. I don't intend to come off as mean, however that is how it will sound. I love people, I really do, but there are instances in my life where I want to scream at certain types of people. I can only deal with so much from these types.

  • The let me give my opinion on everything you say: "Well, in my experience..." The whole 19 years ain't much kid. These people are in my classes.
  • The let me tell you a 20 minute story that doesn't relate just because I like to hear myself talk- "When I was ten I rode my bike to school, that's why the sky is blue."...uh what?!
  • The let me speak negatively and just rant and vent and not care about the other person- "Oh my gosh and this problem is happening and this and this, and I hate her, and people need to love me. Oh, I'm sorry did you want to talk?"
  • The I know I'm better than everyone- "Yeah, I totally rule because I can spell my name backwards and forwards."
  • The suck up-....Getting flowers for your professor's kids, really?
  • The let me make jokes about everything and then laugh at myself- "Meat, hahaha get it meat?"
  • The let me live through technology or Wikipedia-  "Well, wikipedia told me that I will live to be a hundred because I can stand on my head."
  • The I just got out of high school and it was the best time of my life- "So this one time in high school, I was at prom, oh man I wish I could be there again."
  • The let me ask questions that are common sense, but I like to annoy you-"Do I have to breathe?"
  • The let me leave pointless paper under your windshield to get business but really, I'm just wasting paper- "Come to the ultimate car wash experience on such and such road at such in such place that by the way no one has ever heard of before!"
  • The let me tell you my life story even though I know you have a life- "And I started doing this way back when I was 15 and then wait I'm not finished. I know you have work to do, but I still have 30 years to discuss!"
  • The let me know your business and go around starting rumors:  "Oh hey I saw you with so and so, what's going on there? Oh, I saw you at this place, what were you doing? Oh, I saw you talking to this person, what did y'all talk about?"...right mind your own business!
I know, I come off as mean. We all know you've had to deal with someone like this before. I bet you even have a few to add to the list. Until next time kiddies.

...Funny right? Good laugh?

Lovey Dovey

Oh the magic of Valentine's day...

For the record, I actually despise Valentine's Day. I think the holiday is rather silly. It is a time for everyone to spend a hallmark holiday with their significant other and excuses to go out to fancy restaurants, and get flowers, and sparkly jewelry just because that's what you're suppose to do. It's really kind of silly. I would much rather prefer to be surprised with flowers and randomly taken to a fancy restaurant any other day, just because he loves me and wants to do something sweet instead "having" to do it. Regardless of my opinion of the actual day, I really love, love. Ha. The whole concept of Valentine's Day is silly but the actual Valentine's Day things...are pretty awesome. I love the hearts, and red and pink, and the whole love theme. Call me a hopeless romantic or just plain weird, but I love, love! Ha. I think I get more excited about the decorations more than the actual activities of the day. I'm even going with my mother next week to do Valentine's 90% Target shopping. Yeah, get it! Ha

Anyways, I actually had a splendid Valentine's. My dearest Daddy gave me flowers. He's done it for as long as I can remember and I am still surprised every time and think it's just the sweetest thing! Plus, roses are my favorite! They smell divine!
Then my mom got me fancy cupcakes. I had one and it was super rich. Strawberry and a ton of cream cheese frosting. It was delicious and I'm pretty sure I'm still feeling the sugar rush from it! Ha

Also, Mom and I went to the movies. They were showing a sneak peek of the new Reese Witherspoon movie, This Means War. Well, we were going for the earlier showing but we got there and it was cancelled, so we bought tickets for the later showing and went shopping instead. We went to Belk's and I got some new clothes, jewelry, and a purse! They were having a sweet sale with like a ton of stuff was 70% off then take an additional 40%. It rocked! I ended up getting a shirt for like $1.50. Woot Woot! I found some cute brown boots but funny thing is they were two right foot shoes. So apparently someone took home two left shoe ones. HA! Such a bummer though, because they were adorable!

Well, three hours later we made it back to the theater and they had a Valentine's day special for a large popcorn and two large drinks for $10 and they gave us this mini boxed chocolate kiss. Yay! We went to the new theater in Winder, I really like it. The drink machines have over 100 different drinks and it's all touch screen. You hit Sprite and there is regular, cherry, rasberry, etc or like Diet coke and there is regular, vanilla, cherry, cherry vanilla; so many different flavors and options!

The movie was hilarious! I really enjoyed it. I definitely will be buying it. It was so much better than I expected. Also, there are some mighty-fine, good-looking men in it! I definitely suggest seeing it, except watch out because there are some risque scenes in it.

Soo that was Valentine's Day for me. So what else have I been doing with me life you ask? Looking for a job. I've had some interviews here and there, but I'm just looking for something that I really want to do. I've also been spending my time organizing my room and bathroom. I'll have to post pictures. Here is two things I was really excited about adding to my room:
Sweet right? It holds all of my necklaces. Genius! (Okay, most of them. I need to buy more hooks. Home-girl has a lot of jewelry.) No more tangled mess, and I can see them all, and it looks sweet as decoration!

Martha Stewart Living™ 9-Cube Organizer
Then there is this awesome set-up. Martha Stewart makes these stackable shelves. I've seen them forever and always wanted them. Well then I saw them at Home Depot for a way good price and they have these colored baskets you can get that fit perfectly inside of the cubbies. So I got two for my room and one is on top of the other. Really helpful to organize things, plus decorate the empty spots with odds and ends. I like them, a lot.

Besides working on my room and doing things for my parents, I've been reading a lot. I learned that there was another library in Athens that I've never been to. Shocker right? Anyways it has the books I've been wanting to read. I'm working on the reading list of mine, finally! I also learned that that I can check out 40 books at one time. Totally awesome! Except, I can't even read that fast. I only have 6 checked out and 2 more I'm picking up tomorrow and that's plenty for now. I can only read so many books at once. Yeah, I'm the type that reads more than one book usually. Who knows how I keep the stories straight in my mind, but somehow it works for me. My limit is usually 6, so I'm going to try 8 this time.

Well, I'm definitely rambling now and need to get to bed. Until later loves!

Sit Talking Up All Night--

DAYNE

I'm dedicating this post to Dayne. Get excited, he doesn't even know what hit him!! HA!
Here's the deal, you see Dayne and I have always been pretty tight. He moved to Georgia into my grandparent's house. I remember the first time meeting him. Just a little scrunt (yeah I made that word up) of a kid. Who would have thought he'd become like my favoritiest person ever? Well long story short--after living here, then moving to Utah, then back here, and now moving to Mexico (You know the mish..) and then my family living here, then moving to Athens, and going to Utah to visit his family in Tooele-- I feel like we have been through a lot! We have really. I have a lot of memories and inside jokes to show for it!
We were awesome kids. We use to record shows/dances/plays/who knows what else that we made up. We were hardcore theater nerds (we still kind of are), and played lots. GOOD TIMES! He's been my go-to guy for a long time- through all the family happenings and well just life. Now, times have changed and after an awesome Summer and Fall going to BYU he is off for the next two years on his mission. Woo!

Anyways, I am beyond thrilled for him. He will be an extraordinary missionary! The people are going to just love him and his awesome Spirit.  Naturally, I'm going to miss him like crazy (and not only because he makes me keep constantly updated with my blog)--but it's definitely for a very good reason.

So to make him embarrassed, here is the recording I did while he sang in church for his farewell. Hopefully it works, I've had some minor issues with it. Excuse the rustling, babies crying, and my mom talking to me...HA! Dayne has an outstanding voice and I swear I could listen to him sing all day!

Dayne Singing

Ps. We only have a handful of decent pictures of us together throughout all this time, because we suck at taking good pictures together. Ha. But here is one. Yay!!

Going to miss my Dayeners! Love you!
