Let's pretend I haven't missed so much on my birchbox updates. Ha. Recap
November-March. Yikes. Sorry loves!
November:
- Miracle Skin Transformer Vanish Corrector - Helps get rid of skin flaw, ie wrinkles, dark spots, etc. Maybe I just don't really think about wrinkles and skin flaws right now. So I didn't really like it.
- Chuao Chocolatier - Who doesn't love chocolates?! Seven different flavors to try. potato chip, maple bacon, sweet and salty, honeycomb, salted chocolate crunch, spicy maya, and firecracker. I loved the variety! I really enjoyed the potato chip and salted chocolate crunch. These make excellent little extras for a gift. You can buy the full sized bars at a few different places.
- Oscar Blandi Texture and Volume Spray- You know me, I don't really like sprays or putting things in my hair. So I haven't tried it yet. ha.
- Atelier Rose Perfume- I love rose smells! This actually smells like a bunch of fresh roses. Love! Some reviewers said it smells musky. Eh, I don't really agree.
- Stila Shimmer- I like the concept. Add an extra glow for a fun night out. However, I haven't had a reason to put it on yet. Ha. I'm not the type to add it to my normal make-up.
December:
- Juicy Couture- I do enjoy Juicy Couture perfume, but I have received so many that they are all blending together and I can't remember which ones I like and don't like. I'll have to line them up and smell them one by one. It's juicy! ha.
- Hot Mama Shadow and Blush- I loved the case! So cute! The name is cute too. I didn't even think about it being an eye shadow and blush. Didn't phase me that I could use it for both. It's a little too bright for me. My skin is so fair, I need a lighter, more natural color.
- Lip Butter- I love lip butter. It smells/taste good and seems to work well. The only difficult thing is the container. Such a hassle to try and get it out. I usually just use it before bed.
- Clarifying Shampoo- Yay shampoo!...not. i hate getting shampoo in my box. Ha. I think I tried it, but eh average.
- Nail Filer- I'm not really picky about nail filers. I hate flimsy ones, so this was a nice little birchbox extra.
January:
- Ojon Hair Serum- I haven't figured out the whole hair serum thing. For having really thin hair, it makes it so oily!
- Nail Polish- Love trying new nail polishes! I received the pretty blue lagoon. Not much to add then that. Ha
- Put a lid on it- This is like a primer before putting on eye shadow. It helps the shadow stay on. I rarely wear eye shadow, but this will definitely help make it stay. Mine always ends up coming off by the end of the day/night.
- Harvey Prince Perfume- I remember liking this perfume. It stuck with me. It was more fresh smelling (which is more my taste). I just read on the site that it helps ease cravings. Huh, very interesting!
- Youth Preserve Face Cream- Youth preserve?! Yippee...throw in the drawer. I use face cream but this was another blah item in my box.
February:
- Ghirardelli Caramel Chocolate Squares- Just a little something sweet in the box. Boo Caramel though. Ha
- Twistband Headband - These hair ties are the new things! I LOVE them! For someone who really likes headbands, these are awesome! No dent and it doesn't hurt your head. I just wish they weren't so expensive.
- Juicy Couture Couture La la- More juicy perfume!
- Flexible Hairspray- I haven't tried it yet. I do wonder if it works though.
- Secret Agent Beauty Lip Affair- This is such a fun summery lip plumper! It tastes like coconut, sunshine, and beach. Fabulous! Plus, I love plumper! It has a nice color too. I wouldn't wear it all the time, but for the summer it's perfect.
March:
- Shave Crave Shaving Cream- It's a blueberry smell! I would have really liked to try the pomegranate. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm up for trying shaving cream, especially if it smells yummy.
- Dry Shampoo- Haven't tried it yet. It's a dry shampoo spray!
- Nail Filer- Pretty sturdy and I like the design on it.
- Caldrea Body Lotion- I liked that I got not just one sample but three! Now I can try all the different kinds.
- Nail Polish Appliques- I love these! I bought a few different brands from stores. These are nice when I don't have time or don't want to actually paint my nails. It's like lasting sticker polish for your nails!
You know I just realized after typing all this. I have been slacking on trying all these products. Can you blame me? Some I get and think, ugh (throw in the birchbox drawer). I do go back and choose products randomly to try, but sometimes it takes me a while. Ha.
