Hives and then some....

So who knows what's going on with my body...but I keep having an allergic reaction and getting hives! Yikes! It started Saturday night at work and they just won't go away. When I take benadryl they go away and then they come back. I've taken so much benadryl I'm like in a daze. It's crazy! I went to the urgent care today and they gave me a shot. They asked me lots of stupid questions like "Did you get a new laundry detergent, or new clothes, or new anything?" They even asked me if I'm allergic to anything but that was obvious since I am covered in hives. Anyways they gave me a shot of steroids. It's suppose to make them go away completely. After I left there the hives did go away. Well I had to work today and got to work and felt super shaky. I felt like I drank like a ton of energy drinks. I was literally shaking and couldn't hold anything steady. I was wired. But then I started getting dizzy and the hives came back! So I went to Tom my boss and said I think I need to go home.My emotions are crazy I was like on the verge of crying which is ridiculous cause there is nothing to be upset about. Tom was really nice about it all and let me go but I felt really bad. I wasn't even at work for like 4 hours. I came home and tried to be productive because Aaron and Rachel are coming this week but it didn't last long. I got worn out and felt all sickish. It's been a crazy weekend! Hopefully I'll get all better soon!

Get this Christmas is this Thursday! I can't even believe it's so soon! I finished all my Christmas shopping and wrapping and I'm ready but at the same time I'm not! I feel like I've missed out on a lot this Christmas. I still haven't heard all my favorite Christmas songs, or watched my favorite Christmas movies or anything like that. Eek! I want all my family here too. I wish Chris and Kara could come home for Christmas. Plane tickets are so expensive! It will still be a very good Christmas though even if they can't be here. At least Aaron was able to get off for a while to come home. That will be really nice to have him here. I miss having him around all the time. I'm excited about Christmas! I can't wait to see everyone's reaction to their gifts! That's one of the best things about Christmas.

Also, Rachel Mae is coming this Saturday! I've missed her so much! We're going to have so much fun together next week! I'm glad Tom gave me off work all next week. I'm planning lots of fun tourist things we can do together. We're going to go to Atlanta and to the aquarium, coca cola factory, zoo, stone mountain...and who knows what else. Stone Mountain is doing their Snow Mountain this year. There will actually be snow there! I can play in the snow!! wahoo! Except that won't be anything exciting for Rachel...she's always seen snow. Rachel hasn't been to the South so I got to show her everything! We're also planning on going to the Blue Willow inn (this really fancy Southern house in Social Circle) to try some genuine Southern food. By the time she leaves here she'll be hooked on the South. :) We're going to have a blast! Oh the memories we'll make haha

Moo

So at work we did Secret Santa and today I got the funniest gift. I love it but before I can tell you what it is I have to tell you the story behind it. Definitely a blond moment....

In Hobby Lobby there are these key-chains that have different animals (pigs, cows, dolphins, chickens, etc.) on them and you can press the button on it and it makes the noise of the animal. Well my CSM( Customer Service Manager) was telling me how she's going to buy the pig key-chain so every time she wants to eat something she can press the button and remind herself how big of a pig she is, and then not eat. Well she said "Maybe I should get the cow instead," and I said very seriously, "What sound does the cow make?" She just looked dead at me and gave me the strangest look and then said, "MOO." Well I was trying to explain to her that wasn't what I meant. I meant if you hit the button on the key-chain what would it sound like. No matter HOW many times I tried to re-word it, it just sounded worse and worse. haha The whole day I had people coming up to me and mooing at me. Apparently I have a hard time understanding a cow makes a moo sound.

So for Christmas my CSM had me as a secret Santa and got me a kid friendly toy...A See N' Say! Now I can learn the sounds of animals! haha It was an amazing present and I got a good kick out of it!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

FYI I hate the song it's the most wonderful time of the year, but the title is appropriate for this entry.

I love Christmas time! Like seriously it's the best time ever!! I get so hyped up about it. Except this year is different.

First off I've been listening to Christmas music since the middle of October..wayy to early for that. I've also been around Christmas trees, wrapping ornaments, and rearranging Christmas junk since I started working at Hobby Lobby..ugh. So saying I love Christmas may be kind of a mis-statement.

I love seeing everything decorated. I hate going up in the attic getting everything down and unpacking things..but the ending is beautiful. I love driving around and looking at all the houses lite up for the season. Another favorite thing of mine is the traditions. Another great thing about Christmas is the Spirit. There is a real meaning behind it all. There is lots of love, happy faces, and good memories made. I love how much happier everyone seems to be. Maybe it's because of the end of a semester, a break from work...I mean I don't think it's just because of the season but still I like to pretend it is. Everyone is much more giving and compassionate towards each other. I also love Christmas shopping. It's very exciting buying every one's gifts and seeing the excitement when you give it to them. It's also nice receiving them :)

I also tend to think a lot during this special season. I like to just sit and look at the Christmas tree, listen to Christmas music, and just ponder. I really realize all the wonderful gifts I have and all the people who have had an impact on my life. I like to reflect on the past year and everything that has happened, and I also like to think about the upcoming year and what it may hold for me. Of course I think about the Savior too..since that is the real meaning of Christmas. There is just lots to think about this time of the year.

Anyways this year feels different somehow. I feel like every year it's just different. I want all the family to be together and every year less people can't be home for Christmas or go out doing things. Christmas is about love and family. I just want to make every moment special and last. It's a hard task! I just feel like these are the moments to really take advantage of and not miss out on anything. Aha... Christmas is just wonderful!!

Anyways I'm done rambling. Merry Christmas everyone! Make the most of it! =)
