I rock.

I just started using this Instagram business. And you know what? I like it!! I've had it forever, way before it was big--I just never used it. Ha. Now if only I could connect it to blogger, because I don't want to get a tumblr---but maybe I will?

Also, the above picture is my awesome Christmas goodies to some of my favorite peeps (Others would have received this if only they gave me their address, but whatev!) . Frosted pecans that turned out perfectly cooked this year. I mean they are perfect, yeah I know I'm bragging. Oh and the cute containers, I got from Smith's (aka Kroger) for like a $1. They came with the plastic bag and ribbon. Seriously though way cute container right? I should have bought one for myself!

Mmmm Christmas is on Sunday. Wooo SO EXCITED!!

Love Actually

I'm watching Love Actually. Such a good movie! (However, I'm not encouraging it because it is Rated R and has some inappropriate clips, which I just fast forward through.) Anyways, I've decided this is one of the best wedding clips. So happy. I get a little teary eyed every time I see it. All the videos block me from embedding it so click the link below.

Also, it's very fascinating to me to see who views my blog. I get the most random people from all over the word. I always wonder how they stumbled across it, but nevertheless--thanks for stopping by! Also, thanks to my other readers. =)

I am writing a paper. It's very unique to see that everyone is done with the semester and I'm still writing a paper. My professor emailed the class and said there is an extension on the paper until December 28th. Yay extra time!! However, that means more procrastination--hence the blog writing. Ha. I'm getting it done by tomorrow night so I can focus on work and going home for Christmas! Yay!

Also, I have an itching to get all dolled up and go somewhere fancy-ish. However, getting dressed up would be quite silly because it is freezing in Utah. I guarantee I'll go home and there will be a huge snow storm, just in time for when I get back out here. Boo.

I think I got my classes figured out for next semester. 13 credits, down from my original 16. School and working like 30+ hours a week would not be good with 16 credits. Want to hear my classes thus far?
  • Computers Literacy/ Applications
  • Interpersonal Communications
  • Descriptive Astronomy
  • Doctrines of the Gospel
  • Psychology
I may add Economics so that would mean I'd be back at 16 credits, but I'm not sure yet. Such a dreadful class. I have a hard time taking classes that bore me. haha. Probably why I haven't graduated yet, I put off things. Oh you know me!

I downloaded the App of Awesome. It's just liker the books, I've mentioned on here before. I freakin love it! Well work the $1.99. I love the happy things!

Ummm I'm just rambling now. I had some great things to say and now my mind is drawing a blank. So Lame!

Oh hey there Christmas time....

Happiness is....

  •  getting a root beer float and then the waiter bringing you a refill without charging you.

  • cleaning for 3 hours and having a clean apartment!!
  • Christmas lights!! Especially squinting because it makes them more glowy and pretty. Ha

  • almost completing my must-watch-christmas-movies-list. I just have Eloise, Single Santa Seeking Mrs. Clause, and It's a Wonderful Life (which I'll watch with my Daddy when I get home). Also the new ABCFamily Movie 12 Dates of Christmas is suuper cute! I watched it like 3 times already. haha.
  • discovering other good movies! I watched this Lifetime movie called Sundays at Tiffany's. (I feel like I've said this before.) Anyways, it is about this girl and her imaginary friend. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me of my imaginary friend--Sara. ha. Apparently there is a book? So I'm going to have to read that!
  • finals are done! Wooo. I have one paper left to write....due by Dec 28th.
  • almost done reading The Help. Seriously, I am so surprised how good the book is. May go down as one of my top favorite books. So if you haven't read it, go read it. So worth it. Although, I have heard if you don't understand southern talk it is a little bit harder to read because of the language and dialogue; personally I think it is fantastic and very well written!
  • selling my contract!---Although,  I haven't actually sold my contract yet---but here is to hoping it goes in the next week with the people who have contacted me about it. I'm still looking myself for an apartment to move into. I just want a private bedroom with it's very own private bath without having to pay $450 a month. Is that too much to ask?
  • I'm kind of diggin the new facebook timeline. It looks more organized and personable. I mean grant it, I have no idea how to use it but I like it!
  • knee socks! Why haven't I bought these before? They are genius!! They are cute, don't suffocate my legs from being too tight on my fat calves, and they are so warm!! This is what I've been needing in winter because my legs get soo cold and so do my feet. With knee socks, I don't have to be awkward and adjust myself like when I wear leggings or tights under my pants--yeah judge me. You'd do crazy things too when you're in the freezing cold and dying for warmth (Especially when your work has nothing but concrete walls separating you from the outside). Haha.
  • These commercials:

It reminds me of my parents. haha. But in a good way, not embarrassing. Ha

Also, this commercial makes me cry---every stinkin time!!!

  • I'll be going home for Christmas in exactly one week!!! I am sooo excited!! I've been kind of home sick, even though I was just barely there a month ago. Anyways--yeah Merry Christmas!

the the the the GRINCH!

You see I'm not avoiding school, I'm just choosing not to think about it...tonight.

I choose the Grinch instead.
What's not to love about that face?!

I choose Christmas instead of finals. haha.

Which by-the-way I haven't done like any Christmas shopping. Yikes!

Okay so obviously I'm thinking about school if I'm writing about it. I only have one final paper to write, 2 days of class, 3 finals (one next Monday) and then boom give me the good grades! I should be studying right this second. But there is just so many other things I prefer to think about.

My Mom used sky miles for a plane ticket for me to get home. $100 is all she had to spend. Can you believe that?! The good news is that I can still work the busiest week of the year, get money, and make it home in time for Christmas. So for all you Georgia folk December 24th -January 8th is when I'll be home. Make the plans. Which also means I'll be home for Target Christmas 90% sale!! Yes!! Plus this year Dayne will be able to go without complications. YAY!

I'm ready to move out of my apartment. I'm done. I've had it. I need something else. Something that doesn't suck. The problem? My landlord. Talk about being a pain! She is causing all sorts of issues with me trying to end my contract early. Who cares?! The place is falling apart anyways. Plus, new roomies would be awesome! So Utah folk let me know if 1) you find a sweet place for me or 2) find someone who needs a place.

I've been reading. What have I been reading? The Help! (All thanks to Miss Natalie) I must say the book is awesome. I'm only like 1/4 of the way in but still I love it! It puts a different perspective on slavery. Also, the Southern language spoken--Rocks. I love being able to read it and know how it sounds in my head. I am looking forward to watching the movie when I'm finished reading it.

Pretty Little Liars starts up again in January. SO EXCITED! Seriously, I love this show. I'm so pathetic.
Oh yeah and uh Harry Potter Lego's Years 5-7 is in the mail! Thank you Best Buy Cyber Monday- $34.00! Next week I'll be sucked into playing. Perfect timing since finals are so soon right? I know! It's awesome!!

I'm so addicted to reading blogs. Everyday is bad. So if you have great blogs to add to my list or you yourself have one, do send the url my way!

Hmm I think that is enough random for now. Oh and I am determined to enter the 25 Days of Christmas Sweepstakes every day and win the $25,000. That would be so sweet!!

Happy Festivus!

xoxo

Oh Me oh my and pudding pie

Uh, thanks to my avid reader--Dayne, he made me aware that is has been quite some time since my last update. Sheesh, silly ol me! What a shame too, because hello I love blogging!! Silly life getting in my way. Ha

I love Christmas! I started listening to Christmas music weeks ago. I'm usually a strict no-Christmas-music-until after-Thanksgiving-kind-of-girl, but needless to say I was very excited about this holiday season. Which in case you didn't realize, the holiday season is upon as now. EEK! YAY! So, I've had an extra kick in my step while listening to music. It just makes everyone happier, let's be honest. I have specific songs I have to listen to every year. They are as follows:
  • Christmas Shoes- New Song
  • My Only Wish This Year-Britney Spears
  • All I Want For Christmas is You- Mariah Carey
  • Christmas Baby Please Come Home- Darlene Love
  • Santa Clause is Coming to Town- Jackson 5
  • I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas- Gayle Peevey
  • Blue Christmas- Elvis Presley
  • Carol of the Bells- Mormon Tabernacle Choir
  • I Saw Mommy Kissin Santa Claus-The Ronettes
  • Santa Baby- Eartha Kitt
  • White Christmas- Bing Crosby
  • Christmas Canon-  Trans-Siberian Orchestra
  • Where Are You Christmas- Faith Hill
  • Christmas Time- Christina Aguilera
  • What Child is This-
  • I'll Be Home For Christmas- Josh Groban
  • The Christmas Song- Nat King Cole
  • the entire cd of The Forgotten Carols- Michael McLean
    • The Innkeeper( Let Him In)
    • Homeless (Like the Christ Child Was)
    • The Shepard (You Were Not There In Bethlehem)
    • Handel's Dream
    • Mary Let Me Hold Her Baby
    • The Dance (The Music Box and an Old Corsage)
    • Joseph (I Was Not His Father, He Was Mine)
    • I Cannot Find My Way/ Three Kings
    • I Cry the Day I Take the Tree Down
    • Homeless Reprise
  • the entire cd of The Gift- Kenny Rogers
    • Mary, Did You Know
    • A Soldier's King
    • Pretty Little Baby Child
    • What A Wonderful Beginning
    • It's The Messiah
    • I Trust You
    • Sweet Little Jesus Baby
    • The Chosen One Montage
    • Til The Season Comes Again
I know that's a lot. Sadly, I know I'm missing some. Ha. If I was uber savvy and had the time then I would have totally put a clip for each song. However, I did not so go look them up and rock out.

Since I listed my favorite Christmas songs I can't forget the movies!
  • Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Clause
  • Eloise at Christmas Time
  • It's A Wonderful Life
  • Elf
  • Christmas Carol (Muppets)
  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • The Grinch
  • Fred Claus
  • The Holiday
  • Love Actually
  • Miracle on 34th Street
  • The Polar Express
  • Santa Clause 1,2,and 3
  • Jack Frost
  • White Christmas
  • Scrooge
  • The Nativity
  • Santa Baby
  • Holiday in Handcuffs
  • Snowglobe
  • Classic Christmas Cartoons
  • Christmas Cupid
And about a thousand other movies. I could never remember all of them, but I spend all of December in front of a tv watching Christmas movies. Haha.

Yay Christmas time!!

Also, Christmas Project----

I'm making a Christmas ball wreath, and I am SOO excited! It's super easy. Plus I think they are so pretty. Mine will not be so much as the one above. There is too much color and odd designs. I want like blue and silver, or red and silver, or something. haha.

Mmm finals are soon like 2-3 weeks. Yikes.

I did something

You see I did something. Something I kind of always wanted to do but always forgot or life got in the way. What did I do exactly? It's a surprise. I'll tell you....at the end of this post. HA!

Sooo Halloween is next week. I'm not doing anything, oh right school actually. I would like to go to the Haunted Carnival, Forrest, warehouse, you know all the haunted-ness. Also, I want to carve pumpkins. I may actually really do that. Like the ones posted above. But I suck at carving pumpkins. I can't even do like a normal jack-o-lantern. Haha.  Andddddddd I want to go to a corn maze. Oh yeah, and watch all the fun Halloween shows; Hocus Pocus, Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin, Halloweentown (Yes, I just said that), and so many others. And after Halloween sales. Candy on sale!! YUM!

This year has gone too fast, and I'm not ready for holidays. Yet, I am? I am ready for Christmas movies and music and decorations. But the snow can wait until December. ha.

Thanksgiving is oh in a few weeks and I am most likely going home! WOO! Like the week before Thanksgiving for a week. And rumor has it that Aaron and Molly will be there. Even more WOOO!!! And I can see my cute niece who is growing up so fast. WOOO! And black Friday. I love black Friday. I love good deals. I want a Macbook.
My parents are going to be in town this weekend!!! YAY!!! I have missed them, like a lot. So I'm spending the weekend in Salt Lake. It's also Jackson's first birthday. I can't believe the little dude is turning 1! He will be walking and talking before you know it! And Chaddy is coming home from his mission and so there is an open house at my aunt's house. YAY! I've missed him. I'm excited to hear all about his mission. And Dayne is coming with me this weekend. YAY! I always love hanging out with him.

Uh, I've forgotten what else I was going to say. The second I hit post, I'll remember. It always happens.

Welp, that's all for now.

 xoxo

Ps. I didn't forget to tell you my little surprise. You thought I did. Ha. Trick! I applied to be in the Hill Cumorah and Nauvoo Pagenant for the church. Oh baby! I probably won't get in, but seriously I would love it. That would be the coolest experience. Awesome way to spend the summer. I won't know until December/January. I'll keep you posted. =)

Get Excited!!!

I'm Moving!!!......

Okay, so maybe not anytime soon but hopefully in the next few months. Let me tell you why:

My roommate is disgusting!
I mean NASTY!

My plan was to take pictures and show you how gross this place is, but I'm lazy and it's gross. So I'm not wasting the time. She moved in, she's nice-ish. But boy do we have some issues! And you have to understand, I get along with like everyone. Sure people have annoying habits, but it's fine I deal with it. But I have never encountered someone like this. OR someone I couldn't stand to live with.

  • She took my parking spot. I mean we have two parking spots but I hate parking in the one so far away. I usually have an armful of things to carry and it's so annoying to have to carry it across the parking lots and up the stairs. It usually results in me dropping things and being very ticked about it. Besides, I was here first!! She should get the crappy spot, not me!!
  • She has my name. Now you may think that is a silly reason to not like someone. But that is a huge pet peeve of mine. I transfer to other classes because I can't stand people having my name. I love my name, don't get me wrong- I just feel like I should be the only one that has it.
  • The bathroom. We share a bathroom. This also happens to be the bathroom that is used when we have guests over.

*There is hair everywhere!! I mean I shed, I know that. But I try and clean it or wipe it down after I do my hair at least. Nope everywhere there is hair. The sink, all over the counters, the shower--clogged up, the toilet (why hair gets all over the toilet, boggles me too), all over the floor, the rug, and basically all over my things too. Gag.
                       * The toilet is gross. I mean there is black running down inside and a ring. Black? Why black? I have never seen that before in this toilet. What is she doing to make it black? Besides, I just cleaned it a week ago. It should not be THIS bad!
                       * The toilet paper. I have to get a picture to make my point....

This is probably a little exaggeration, but still you get the point. It is like hanging, and sometimes it's on the floor. Who does that?! And where does it all go? I mean she uses a roll in like two days. So I did the right thing and took my toilet paper back. I am not going to buy it and have it disappear on me just like that.
                        * Her stuff is all over the counter. We have a tiny counter. It's not difficult to use the things you need and then put it away. Seriously combs, makeup, hair products, toothbrush,--all sprawled out over the counter. So then when I come in to use the bathroom I have no where to put my things. What?! And constantly leaving things plugged in when not in use. Wasting electricity!!
                           * The hand towel has turned like black. It was white. I mean they get dirty, but black? What is on your hands?! I took those back also.
                                * Everything is cute and matchy in the bathroom. Her nasty old brown/bleached towels looks awful in a black and white with a splash of pink bathroom. I'm not saying go and buy new towels, but don't hang them on the towel rack folded, use the hooks on the back of the door!

  • The kitchen. I have been finding dirty dishes all in the cupboards and drawers. Who uses dishes and then puts them back in the cupboards? Gross!
  • The Loudness. I'm in school. I need to focus. I need to study. I need quiet time sometimes. I come home and I can hear her tv outside the front door. She is in the back of the apartment with the door shut. Uh deaf?! Turn it down! The music is always blasting. And she, herself, is a loud talker and definitely an annoying loud laugher--especially in the wee hours of the morning.
The list could probably continue. But needless to say I have to get out. And if you know me, I absolutely hate moving with a passion. I was convinced to live here until I get married. Now look, I am looking for some place soon. I have got to get out!! Preferably a place by myself with my own bathroom and no roommates to be bothered with.

Speaking of roommates. My old roommate took some of my kitchen stuff. I mean they were cheap but dude I hate having to buy new kitchen things, especially when some of them are my nice stuff. Gay. This apartment is all around bad Karma, or whatever it's called.

In other news...
Dayne got his mission call. I'm so proud and happy for him! He will rock as a missionary. But goodness, I'm going to miss him for two years!

School is kicking my butt. I feel so behind all the time. Work consumes my life. I go from one job to the next and free time is spent studying and doing homework. I think I bit off more than I can handle. Eh, that's how life goes sometimes.

Also, I got an awesome birthday present to me gift. Harry Potter Legos yrs 1-4. Years 5-7 comes out in November. It is an incredibly fun game. Lego's anything is entertaining, fun, and hilarious to watch. Too bad I never have time to play, but still it rocks.

Also, all the fall shows started up. There is some good ones and my favorites are returning. But again no time. But Sundays, maybe my day to be lazy and play Hp legos and watch shows I love. Or I may wait and watch them later once the season is over.

Welp, that is enough rambling for one post. My garlic pizza is calling my name. YUM! Peace, love, blessings.

xoxo

SEPTEMBER 1

Ladybug Stephanie Magnet

Oh hey. In case you were wondering, it's my birthday. Well okay in Utah, it technically isn't. But Georgia time, yeah it is. September 1st. Yay yay! Why am I posting about it? Because it is awesome! What exciting events do I have planned on this special day? Work--yup. That's about it. haha. And some other things. But that doesn't really bother me. I had an awesome time in Florida to celebrate my birthday. (Which I still haven't posted my pics yet. Whoops. Sorry.) Pretty sweet. So yes happy birthday to me! Maybe next year I'll have something so much more exciting to post. haha. So in honor of my birthday how's about you go out and celebrate by doing something I would do. But you know, don't get crazy.

Everybody has secrets

I'm kind of like way excited about this app. Because everybody has secrets. Most of the time others share the exact same secret. It is sort of my guilty pleasure reading post secrets on Sundays when they update it. Now they are going to have an app for it. Fantastic. Welp, I just wanted to say that. I have many pictures to post and happenings to talk about from Florida, but that will have to wait until later. Ha

Finals...once again

You can always tell when I'm trying to distract myself. haha. Studying for finals--gag. But come Thursday at like 2 I'll be done until Fall, which starts in like 2 1/2 weeks. WOO!

In a week, I'll be in Florida visiting Aaron and Molly! Even bigger WOO! I am very excited to spend some time with them and to have some fun! I want to take pictures, hopefully I remember. Ha

In other news, I kind of accidentally deleted all of my bookmarks. That was a lot to lose. I uninstalled Google Chrome, because it was being gay, and now gone. I can't remember half of the websites names or urls. Blah. Eh well, life does go on.

Dayne and I are going to see Aida this weekend. I am super pumped. He has never seen it before, I hope it's a good performance and doesn't disappoint. haha.

I wrote a public press release today, oh it's been a few years since I have written one of those. Yeah it was kind of stressful. I hope it turned out well. We will see.

Okay I'm trying to do too many things at once, and my paper isn't getting written very well.

Wish me luck on my finals!! YIKES!

Bittersweet Ending

Well the time has come for the end.....

We watched them grow up:
And now it's all about to end. I started reading Harry Potter in 5th grade. that was almost like 12 years ago. Wahoo! Kind of crazy to think about! Half my life has been involved in Harry Potter: from waiting for midnight showings, to waiting hours in line for a book, to harry potter parties, to playing quidditch, to Harry Potter World, to butterbeer, to bertie botts every flavor beans, to Harry Potter video games, to wands and spells, to a magic world that came alive for me. Wow Harry Potter, the impact you have had on me.

And now a video for a good final emotional effect:

Harry Potter midnight showing. T-minus 5 days. Get excited!

Wooo Changes

It's late. I need to be in my bed. They have changed things on blogger, including new fonts!! Wooo. Plus a pretty sweet new header. But I don't need to tell you what I changed, obviously you can see for yourself!

Lately I have been watching the seasons of this show:
He is a mighty fine looking man, especially when he smiles. Mmm mmm mm. I also get to learn about superman which is pretty ballin.

I have decided I want to see this in person:

Who's with me?! Also, I would like to see these:

Guilty. Yeah, there is a naked man on my blog. It's David, like David and Goliath. It's 23 feet tall. That's not really that tall though. ha.

I would also like to own this:

God forming Adam and Eve out of clay. Pretty interesting way to look at life. Eh? Can you imagine how difficult it would be to carve something out of marble? Some of these look so real and life-like. It's beautiful and magnificent!

How about a little trip to the Louvre in Paris? Who's paying? ha. Seriously it would be so fun to spend hours upon hours looking at all the paintings and sculptures. I would love it.

This is what my Humanities class does to me; I want to go see all the things we talk about. Slide shows don't do it justice.

That will do for my random ramblings for now. Until another day.

xoxo

Ps. Updating the look of my blog isn't the big thing I have in store for you. I'm working on that surprise still. =)

Repeat

*Song Obsession: Inconvenient Love- Chad Doucette*
 Repeat, repeat, repeat!
I LOVE this song.
Mmmkay your turn to play it a million times now. =)

That's all for now. I know, I am lacking in the blogging area. No worries though, I have something big coming, oh just you wait! So until then, enjoy this song. haha. Also, I figured out how to copy audio from youtube videos or any videos on to my ipod. Genius! So happy! Actually that's really just helpful and makes my life easier. The real reason I am so happy is because my prayers have been answered! They've been answered in ways I couldn't even imagine. I am so incredibly grateful!! The Lord keeps His promises. And this is life-changing. My dreams are in my reach! Anyways, I won't go into details. Another time maybe. Happy early 4th of July! xoxo

Perfection

I was reading my friend's blog and saw other blogs she likes to read which led me to this specific one. Some of the posts are quite funny. That's not the point. I read this one post, and thought 'Hey that's me, I have that exact same problem too.' So read it. It's some pretty powerful stuff especially some of the comments people have left.

We all have our problems and issues. The best thing we can do is love each other and try and lift one another's burdens. Because honestly, we are all fighting our own uphill battle to get to the top of the mountain and see the beauty and the worthwhile of the climb. We need to do all we can and make it worthwhile. If you're doing your very best then that is enough.

Talent

Ignore that whole recording from a tv and the background girl making comments. haha.

object width="560" height="349">

Dude, props to 10yr old Julie. This rocks. Is it just me or are kids getting more talented and younger in age? Seriously, I want little talented munchkins someday. Mmkay that's all.

Embrace things that are out of our control.

"Some things in life are out of your control. You can make it a party or a tragedy."
--'Vision in White' Nora Roberts

Advice:
Make a list of things you worry about. Now split them into two categories: Concerns you can do something about and concerns beyond your control. Beside each item you can control write down a plan of action to better those things.

Examples of things right now you can control:
1. How many times you smile today.
2. How much effort you exert at work.
3. Your level of honesty.
4. How well you prepare.
5. How you act on your feelings.
6. How often you say “thank you.”
7. When you pull out your wallet for luxuries.
8. Whether or not you give someone the benefit of the doubt.
9. How you interpret situations.
10. How often you notice and appreciate small acts of kindness—they’re everywhere!
11. Whether you listen or wait to talk.
12. When you walk away from a conversation.
13. How nice you are to yourself in your head.
14. Whether you think positive or negative thoughts.
15. Whether or not you form expectations of people.

I am currently working on ways to better myself. I mean I am always trying to better myself, but it's never been my main focus, until now. Especially since that's what is absolutely necessary for me to do right now at this moment in time. I found the information above online. I thought it related well. Especially since my most difficult challenge or thing I need to work on is worrying about things out of my control. I'm a pro at getting worked up over things that I have absolutely no power over what the outcome is. So I made a list (because we all know me and my lists. I love them!), and it helps actually visually seeing it. So I encourage everyone to do the same now. Find some relief. Ha. that's all until next time.
