Ramble Ramble

So this is not an important post. I just wanted to post something. So, here I go.....

I ate a small breakfast this morning at 8:30. It is now 4:40. I haven't eaten anything since this morning. I realize I get moody when I'm really hungry. Haha. Plus, I now have a headache. I was running errands (which seriously was like all over town, it was annoying all the places I had to go) so I didn't think about eating.

Now here I sit with my 'feel-good' foods. -Cheddar rice and Broccoli, diet coke, and reeses. I rock.

I was woken up this morning by hammering and banging. 7am and there are workers on my apartment's complex redoing the roof. They were right above my room. I'm not a morning person.

It's really hot outside, and the pool is covered because of those wonderful roof workers. Awesome.

The roof of my mouth itches, still. I don't know if this happens to you. It itches and if you try and fix it then it only gets worse.

I discovered a fabulous new singer, Caitlin Crosby. She's great. I love her music. "Still Has My Heart," is the song that made me find her. It's cute. Look her up

Breck made me laugh really hard yesterday. Did I mention I was drinking strawberry milk? No worries, I spit it everywhere. haha.

This weekend is the 4th of July! Wahoo! I'll be in Montana at a cabin. I'm so pumped. Hiking, motorcycle, fishing, amazing views, and apparently the stars are to die for. happiness. =)

 *Ramble, Ramble*
Haha.

Needy

I'm pretty sure...

  • I need to curl up in my bed and just sleep. Sleep for days. Sleep. What a beautiful thing.
  • I need to write in my journal. Take an hour or so and just write out all my thoughts. They're swarming, they need to come out.
  • I need to read these amazing books that are getting suggested to me. The list is getting longer. I need a good read.
  • I need to clean my room, really I need to. It's disgusting. Along with the bathroom.
  • I need to go to the temple.
  • I need to write more poetry. I really like poetry.
  • I need to figure out the musical numbers for church. I'm a slacker.
  • I need a fabulous tan. I look good tan.
  • I need to spend a few hours looking at the stars. It makes me feel better.
  • I need to hang out with Dayners. I do. I love our times together.
  • I need to thank my amazing boyfriend more, he is absolutely wonderful.
  • I need...lots of things apparently.
So, despite this list of needs (that in reality are probably wants) all I'm going to do to solve them is ignore them. Instead, I'm going to drink a big cup of hot cocoa and start a new day, after a semi-decent night's sleep.

Taken by surprise

So, my history with guys hasn't been the best. I tend to think they are fabulous men, and then they end up being jerks and disrespectful towards me. (And not men at all...silly boys) Tisk! And everyone has always said, "Oh don't worry you'll find someone, that is good for you. Good guys are out there." My response has always been, "Sure, whatever, prove it." Not to say there aren't any good guys out there, but for me, I have never had that. Absolutely, I watch others get treated with so much respect and that's all I want in life, is respect. That's not too much to ask for!

Also, a man, I need a real man. I need a guy who uses his hands, who works hard, who does manly things. I tend to go after the more feminine type. haha. A man that makes me feel like a woman and an important one at that. Also, gives me sweet compliments, and always knows what to do.

Well, I would just like to say, that all those comments of "he's out there," are true. That's right, I'm finally giving in and saying that it is true. They aren't telling me lies, there is proof out there. Really good, fabulous men really do exist. I discovered that recently. Yes! kk and that's that. =)

More Poetry

I'm getting on this poetry kick, I forget how much I love poetry. So more of my work, that needs work. haha.

A Place I Recently Discovered
After Shel Silverstein’s Where the Sidewalk Ends

There is a place I recently discovered
Up in the mountains,
Beyond the known spaces
There, one beholds the breath-taking scenery
There the elements are endless
There I seem so small
Compared to the rest of this world.

Let us leave behind the worries of our problems
And the stresses that come from everyday life.
Up to the rushing water from the falls
We’ll climb that steep mountain and avoid the falling rocks
We can watch the steady rippling creek
At the place I recently discovered.

Yes, we’ll hike the steep mountain and avoid the falling rocks
We can watch the steady rippling creek
My friends beside me, and the fresh air around me, and we’ll be
At this place I recently discovered.

Well-Read
I found myself once more, in the place that I have been in many times before
Life had taken me for a turn, and a flip on the rollercoaster of trials
My stresses are at their very high, my to-do list has well over fifty things to do
At times like this, I reach for my old friend
He always knows exactly what I need and knows what to say
I get my step ladder and climb to the top blow off the dust that has settled
He sneezes in protest, from not being heard for so long
He has waited so patiently for my return
I hold him in my hands, they tremble with anticipation
My body is instantly filled with uplifting hope
I am once reunited with my ol’ pal
I run my fingers gently on the well worn spine
The pages are crinkled and yellowing with aging
He doesn’t lie flat anymore, he beckons me because he is about to burst open
I flip through the pages and smell the sweet memories
A flood of flashbacks run through my mind, oh the many times we have shared
Together
I see my scribbled handwriting covering every inch of the margins,
Notes to remember his everlasting, precious, and tender advice
He is old from time, his binding not what it once was
His sweet words in ink are starting to fade
But, still he is strong enough to pursue
And replay
He gathers me once again in his arms of love
Holds me tight and draws me in to tell me a story of life
I lose track of time, eternity lasts in a moment
The world around me seems to fade as another world comes alive
Right before me very eyes
This is my home, the familiar place I’ve come to know
It accepts me for me, and never brings me misery
I look back into the darkness and think just maybe this once
I’ll forget the responsibility and just have some fun
A long time later, and my cheeks hurt from grinning and laughing within
I find myself closing the end of my friend
He needs a good rest before his story begins again
I gently, ever so gently place him back in his spot
I have forgotten why the whole reason
As to why I had picked him up in the first place
He knew exactly what I needed. My eases have been calmed
I am ready to once again conquer my world.
And he will always be there right when I need him
He encourages me to not wait too long; he has more places to take me
I wave goodbye and send him off with a kiss
Until we meet again my love

Hot Tub Toes
Towel capes
Flying through the air.
Pitter-Patter of feet
Storming down the stairs.

The iron gate rattles,
Telling me to enter if I dare.
The beast is awoken deep beneath the surface.

The boiling water cackles.

Toes immerge.
They scream with pain.
I slowly dissolve
 As the water,
Takes my breathe away.
Melting quickly as the warmth overcomes me;

Ease, Relaxed, the moment of pain has disappeared.

Here, I will stay until my toes become
Old and crinkly.

Chemistry
A single look into those vibrant, hazel eyes;
An entire world is changed.
Sun-kissed
Lips emanating sounds
Like a soft lullaby.
Tranced in the words of the melody.
Skins touch;
An icy, fire of shock runs through to my core.
A lasting bond is formed beneath the depths
Of the soul.
A voice in my head whispers,
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for.
“Angels lead you in. And if you were with me tonight
I’d sing to you, just one more time.”
Senses come alive.
A smile beams across our faces
And a tear forms in my eye.
Outstretched hearts,
That link in love.
A moment that starts the beginning.

Aw, precious. xoxo

Apparently....

I've fallen off the face of the planet...no biggie. haha.

I'm busy with work, school, life. yuppers. I have hardly any time.

Friends in my ward want to know where I've been. I need to be more social apparently. My other friends in Utah want to play and keep inviting me to things...that I don't end up going to. My friends from Georgia want to know what's going on and why they have to call me all the time and I never call back. My family has no idea what's going on with me. I'm in my own little world apparently.

Just to let you know. I'm alive. I am so busy. I am enjoying life, and trying to keep stresses to a minimum. Lots of stuff is happening. I know that I am the worst at keeping in touch with people. I'm sorry to the people who keep trying to talk to me and can't ever get a hold of me. I'm a terrible person. Forgive me.

If I have time to talk on the phone it's a whole 5 mins, texts I usually respond to...hours later, and skype...isn't an option. haha.  I'll come back around. I'll be better. Don't give up on me.

And I have more posts that need to go up. cool.

xoxo
