Before I go into why I am disgusted I have some others things to say...
First off, I'd like to say that people are so creative in this world! I love reading blogs. I love finding a new, good one, to read often that catches my attention. When I find out someone, that I'm good friends with, has a blog, I go crazy! haha. I love how colorful, and full of pictures, and videos, and eye popping some blogs are. Also, some people talk about the funniest things, and they are so witty, or so insightful. And then there is my blog. haha. I only know what I think of it, I do not know how an outside reader looking in feels about my posts. Do share your thoughts and feelings...
This has nothing to do with anything on my mind, but I use to hate broccoli and especially broccoli salad. Now I love it. It's one of my favorite things to eat. I just made an incredible broccoli salad, courtesy of my cooking class, and it's divine.
I spent the day on campus in the library. To be more exact I was in the periodical section. Fabulous. I never spend much time in this section of the library, however I think I will start. I was working on my literary project which basically is reading poetry, short stories, essays...very exciting. I love reading.

I went to Smith's to buy some cream. I found a fabulous recipe of chocolate mousse that I want to try. So, while I was at the store I was in my own little world thinking about my experience at the At&t store, when this guy was walking past me. I kind of came back to reality and noticed him, he looked sort of familiar. He smiled, I still had my look of contemplating on my face (which looks like I'm ticked, btw), and then I see it. The awkward almost wave- they don't respond -so pretend you were scratching an itch- type wave. Embarrassing. He was trying to wave, but seeing as I had this look of back off, I'm annoyed on my face, and because I didn't even acknowledge him, he tried to act like he wasn't waving. Yikes. I only recognized this wave because, I have been on the opposite end of this situation many, many times. I know someone, I try and wave, they stare, quick, change the wave to fixing my hair. Awkward. I felt bad. Especially since, I didn't realize how I knew him until 10 secs later. I had to play the whole go through my entire life and see if I can remember him. At first I thought he was in my ward, nope he's from my English class. Which makes it even more sad because there is only like 10 people in there. haha oops
I've been listening/watching Brian Regan's comedy acts on youtube. (Apparently it's a sin that I've only recently heard of him, and never listened to his acts) He's funny and pretty clean, which is refreshing. Here's one I just heard and about peed my pants from laughing so hard.
I went to At&t to get a clear cover for my touch screen. Well first off I went in and usually they are super nice and helpful. However, I went to the store in towne center, which is not the normal at&t store that I go to. There were only two guys working. Well, I walked in and they looked at me, no smile, no hi, no nothing. So I look around trying to find the cover, no luck. So I go up to the counter. They didn't say a word to me. I finally had to say, "Excuse me, can I get some help?" Well, one of the guys walks over to me and asks what he can help me with. I explain, he kind of directs me towards the cover section. He looked at my phone and says "oh you have a so and so phone" He had no clue what phone I had. Well, I already saw that my phone's cover wasn't there. So he starts to look. A couple that walked in behind me were over in another section looking at stuff. So what does the idiot do that is helping me? Stops looking for what I needed and asks the other couple if he can help them. Then he walks over to them and starts to help them. For real? Talk about bad customer service. That's so rude! I seriously was about to start going off on him, or walk out. Oh it made me so angry! He completely ignores me and helps this couple, check out and all, and I am still standing there (I'm sure steam was fuming from my ears). The other guy who is working finally takes notice of me and says oh you're still here. err duh. He looks up where I can get a cover. There is one apparently located at another store across the street or something. So they asked me if I could wait, give them like 15 mins to run and get it and bring it back. I leave go to bath and body works and come back. They had it, and put it on for me. Which I did appreciate. And it turns out the rude guy knows my cousin from like years ago when she was a freshman at BYU before her husband and kids. Great. Wouldn't that make you angry though? I should have left, I should have said something, instead I will be writing an email to At&t. kthanks.

Now for my story. While I was at the At&t store, the semi helpful guy decided to make small talk. There was a kid, I'd say about 10 or so, that was in the store looking at an iphone and he wanted to know where the volume was. They couldn't figure out why he wanted to know, and he just kept saying "I need volume!" Anyways, so the guy made a comment to me that he hates kids. I asked why. He responded saying, there was this kid that came in yesterday and he walked to the phones to look at them. And following behind the kid there was the At&t's friend who works for t-mobile. So the friend was like staring the kid down. Well the At&t guy went to him and asked the t-mobile guy what's going on, and he told him he needs to keep an eye on the kid and watch him closely. Apparently, the kid was looking at porn on the phones. The At&t guy walks over to the kid and the kid quickly tries to exit out of what he's looking at. Well, the At&t guy brings it up and he kicks the kid out and tells him that he can't look at stuff like that on the phones.---Are you kidding me?! Has the world really gotten that bad where people, even children, go into a public place and look at pornography? I was shocked! What the heck is wrong with people? Do they not realize how inappropriate that is? Do they not feel guilty when someone catches them looking at that trash? What is going through their mind? Pornography is addicting, and it's destructive. Oh my goodness! I had no idea how 'common' this was to people. I am disturbed, disgusted, and appalled.
I don't mean to talk about such sensitive subjects. I realize people may have a problem with this, or other things similar to this. It's a reality though, and we need to take hold of this serious issue and stop it in it's path, before it destroys everything and everyone. I know people are out there that have problems with this, and I know the temptation may be enticing, but it will ruin you.We are all human and we all will be tempted by the adversary. However, help is out there. You can overcome and you should. There is hope, change is possible. The church came out with a new website for those who are dealing with overcoming pornography, or helping someone you know overcome with it. I think it's a good website, not just for those dealing with this, but for everyone to look at. It's a harsh reality, but it needs to be addressed and taken care of.
Okay, this post ended up being a lot longer than I wanted it to be. Whoops. And just think this was only about today, this one day. haha.
