Tick tock on the clock but the party don't stop
I went to Lake Lanier with my family the other night. We drove the 7 miles or whatever it is to look at all the Christmas lights. so beautiful! too bad pictures of lights don't turn out very well. We had s'mores afterward. so fun! I love family time at Christmas. I also went with ma to the GA club christmas house tours. It's this fancy neighborhood and we looked at some crazy decorative houses, 5 to be exact. One had 12 christmas trees and like a bathroom shower as big as my room. No lie. These houses were over the top, pretty, but a little much. I'd go crazy decorating that much. It was so fun to spend the day with my mom and we had a very delicious brunch. I got a new cookbook too! I love cookbooks! I've also found the perfect place to have my wedding reception. The GA clubhouse! I know I'm not getting married anytime soon, however a girl's got to have an idea and be prepared! haha.
Speaking of weddings. I think seriously 4 of my friends got engaged in the last week. dang!
I have about a 1.5 weeks or less left of working at the Hob Lob. I found this saved in my drafts from last year's christmas it's still appropriate for this year.haha. it makes me laugh. You should laugh too.
Funny encounters and then some...
~ A girl I work with called for a Christmas tree "I need Christmas tree I as in Emmanuel to register 3 please"...haha then someone came up to her and said " I need Christmas tree G as in Jesus"
~ A lady comes in and asks if we have Hanukkah stuff, so I said very seriously " No ma'am this is a Christian store we don't celebrate Hanukkah." Then she precedes to ask me " Well, if you did have Hanukkah stuff where would it be at?" ...if we don't have any then that means there wouldn't be a place for it
~ I had a lady come in the other day and she was re-doing her entire tree and she didn't want to damage anything so asked me to wrap her ornaments...one most are shatterproof and in boxes, two the rest were plastic. So I had to wrap everything even the boxes, and the plastic beads...oh the things I have to do to make the customer happy.
~One of my co-workers said over the intercom "I need a stockman to the front fur...a...fur...a code 1. haha"
~What is with this need to say Debit or Credit...I could care less what you're doing just slide the daggum card!
~While doing returns I have to wait for my manager to type in their code to approve it. So the customer slides their card then my manager types in the code. I always, always tell the customer "don't worry your card went through I just need my manager's code. You don't need to slide your card again." However, without fail everyday someone will say my card isn't working and just keeps sliding it over and over again. Sometimes I just let them continue look ridiculous...haha
~When I say please sign here....don't ask me where. There is a freaking blank line! and it says customer sign here in clear print. read dang it!
~ People typing in their pin number....funny stuff. some people make a little wall and get real close to the screen. others take the pen and hit the screen as hard as they can and then wonder why it wasn't accepted.
~ Telling me that you're looking for something doesn't help me, we're all looking for something. Need to be a little more specific.
~The yellow sticker is clearance. If you come up telling me something is wrong with it...hint that's why it's on clearance
~I've handled a lot of the items in the store I know what will break and won't break, Wrapping everything honestly isn't necessary
~Gorilla Glue on the phone, is not a funny prank
~Old ladies with the diapers....kinda gross. I don't like cleaning up the mess. I won't even go into the details about the restrooms. Courtesy people come on now!
~There are cute scripture mints, and testamints gum we sell.
~ Just because we're a christian store doesn't mean that gives you the right to hand me a Jehovah witness pamphlet ( just so you can be saved) to give me something to read in my time. Thanks for the effort however, We're a business I can't sit there and read while I'm suppose to help customers.
~ Saying something is damaged, when it's not, just to get your money back is lying. Just be honest!
~I've learned there are a lot of dishonest people in the world. Karma bites you in the butt...just wait.
~ Handing me one item at a time is ridiculous, just put it up there on the counter.
~Also, putting items at the end of the counter, ridiculous. I don't have stretchable arms that can reach that far.
~When there is a closed sign up at a register and no one is standing there, don't stand there and wait to be helped. A closed sign means something, move to another register dummy.
~You're not the exception, you're just like every other customer in the store and I'm going to follow the rules and do my job.
~The back of the receipt has the return policy, i love pointing that out to people when they question something. Yes I'm going to ask for your driver's license. What's that you don't have one? Let me inform the police you're driving without it.
~Me being on the phone talking to a customer doesn't mean talk louder...hello I'm on the phone. wait your turn!
~Me-"Hi how are you? Find everything okay?" customer "....." Me-"Hello I'm talking to you. (this is where I stare and wait for a response)
~Oh Merry Christmas...of course that means you can screw the holidays and be as mean as you want, I'm not human or anything.
haha Hobby lobby is quite the adventure. I hope you don't get the idea that I'm mean. I'm not. I'm polite but honest and firm. haha. I still like putting a smile on people's faces.
Christmas is in one week. I can't believe it. I'll put up pics of the tree soon. I love sitting and just admiring it. sparkle sparkle, warm fuzzies. Justin has to work until 3. so christmas morning should be interesting. um parade and baking until he gets home so we can do traditional stuff?
2 weeks until I move to Utah. I may be a tad excited. Okay honestly, I'm ecstatic! Good things lie ahead my friends just you wait for the stories. However, the actual packing and movin in part...not cool. two things I despise.
Today was interesting. I had myself a panic attack running into an old friend..ish. Long story, but I smiled and the moment passed finally. I also ran into some of my friends that I haven't seen in years! I love breaks and when everyone comes home.
I haven't been able to fall asleep before 2am...ridiculous. that needs to change asap. I keep myself up by thinking about everything that needs to be done like thinking it through will really help things progress. tisk tisk
The reason for the season :)

Dear Prudence
I'm exhausted. I may be getting sick from it? I sure hope not. I'm also still stressed. Although, a huge burden was lifted from my shoulders last night. Finally, the wedding is over. My brother is married and I have a new sister in law. The wedding day was a beautiful perfect day. It didn't rain. Thank goodness. Everything somehow worked out. Another thank goodness. I'll have to post some pics soon. It has been a very very long week. I did a lot, a heckuva lot more than i expected doing. And now I know what not to do for my wedding, whenever that comes around, and also how to make things go smoother. I played dj, at the wedding reception. That was fun. Almost had a disaster with the music, but Dayne pulled through for me. I made a love playlist and I got a lot of compliments on the music. Yay go me! I also got lots of compliments on how beautiful I looked. Always nice to feel pretty. :) It was a fun week though. I loved having Chris, Kara, Molly, and Aaron home. I'm so glad they came up and were here to help, otherwise I would have gone insane. I also loved having some girl time with Molly and Kara. Those girls understand me! Love them! I just can't believe they were all here for a week basically, and I feel like we didn't spend any time together. Bummer. And we don't get to have Christmas together. Who knows when we'll all be together again. I love our times together.

I love the fact that this sweatshirt says I love Dayne. haha. Let me brag about Dayne.Um Dayne is my cousin, basically my best friend, and he is amazing! Pretty dang humble too. I swear the boy is so dang talented. He is really intelligent, plays piano, writes songs, at one point played violin, has an amazing voice with a really incredible range, dances, acts, very techy savy, created these awesome slideshows, is a great photographer, and just has an eye for things that the rest of the world usually doesn't see. This list could go on and on. He does a lot, and he is so creative. He also is always so willingly to help with anything. That kid is definitely going to do great things when he's older. He is going places. I can see him being this famous director, or composer, or just something big! Love him to death. I'm thankful that he was there this past weekend to help me with lots of things, and I'm glad he's always there for me. That is all. :)
haha. I love this picture. So I'm still stressed, because naturally the busiest shopping week is this one. Black Friday...yikes. we don't have that many bg sales but it is insanely busy. And we are short employees, especially cashiers. Should be interesting?! So I'm still recovering from this past week and I'll have to recover from this upcoming week. I need a vacation. haha. But turkey day is this week. yay food and family. k, I need to go to bed now.

Overrated
Boys are overrated. I bet you expected me to say something like that huh? Eh well, it is usually on my mind. I guess it's on everyone else's mind too. I keep talking to people and reading blogs and whatnot. Darn you holidays! If you don't want to listen to me rant about this, I'd stop here. I'm just so sick of love and this never-ending game of looking for a potential future eternal companion. Don't get me wrong, the idea of actually succeeding at that would be incredible. However, I'm getting fed up with it. Let me explain why. First off, guys play these dirty tricks. They start with the sweet talk and lots of compliments. Oh, how I love those things. They ask lots of questions, acting like they really are interested in what's going on with me and what makes me. And oh how I love someone that talks to me, and actually listens, and it's not all about them the whole time. They call, and send lots of texts, messages...etc. So I start to slowly give in then BAM....snap.... trapped! Maybe they aren't looking for something long term. I can understand that. I'm not asking to fully commit right now, just see how things go. I understand that not everyone is compatible and right for each other, that happens too. But really, I can't stand the jerks out there that think they can just walk all over me and treat me badly. No no, that is not happening anymore. Also, there are those stupid perverts, who just want some action. I'm not that kind of girl. Where do some of these guys get the idea that somehow me being a good girl is just an act. Psh, I'm not perfect. But I like having a good girl image. And I don't appreciate being treated like an object, or someone to fulfill your little fantasy. Please, hire a whore and stop using me. And seriously, when I say no, for real that means no. That doesn't mean ask later, I'll change me mind, it means absolutely, positively no. Now back off. And don't think I'm like all the other girls. I grew up with boys. I understand a thing or two about them. I like things plain and simple. I like honesty and being direct. I don't want to complicate anything. For the most part, I'm a nice person. I don't like being mean. I think this would be my downfall. I have got to stop being so nice to these stupid boys. Because somehow, I'm the one who always gets hurt.
Earlier this year I read part of a book with a friend and we made goals and lists. (So typical of me, I know) 10 absolutely must haves and 10 absolutely can not haves in a future companion. I mean I already have a list of future qualities I want in a spouse. Thank you young women's for making me write a list every Sunday practically. But this is something that you want. They can't change. No giving in, no settling. I’ve been told numerous times by my father that "the only time we can afford being selfish is in choosing a mate." My friend suggested this makes life easier because you say no to everyone unless they posses these qualities. (I also would expect my future spouse to have somewhat of a list and expect similar things from me) However, like I said my downfall is being too nice. So here's my list. Some are more specific, others are broad. Some have little like subcategories. Some may seem silly to you, but it's my list so don't judge. haha.
Haves:
1. Can verbally communicate well (makes decisions, gets to the point, honest, open and isn't afraid to tell me anything)
2. Spiritual (RM, worthy priesthood holder, dedicated to the Lord)
3. Appearance is important to him. (Clean cut, button up shirts, always dresses to impress)
4. Sings and dances
5. Gentleman (opens doors, respects me, can order for me, manners)
6. Affectionate (Not excessively in public, but cute. Kisses on the forehead, hand holding...etc)
7. Emotional (Tough but sensitive, doesn’t cry more than me, doesn't have jealousy issues, trust me)
8. Outgoing (confident, doesn't leave me in the shadows, funny)
9. Has to be LDS and can't join just because of me
10. Unconditional Love (openly loves me no matter what, tells me he loves me at least once a day)
Can't Haves:
1. Selective kindness (Nice to some but not to others)
2. Arrogant
3. Mama's boy, too feminine
4. Different culture or way different background
5. Drinking/Cursing/Drugs
6. Dirty (dirty thoughts, speech, actions...)
7. Not involved in pornography
8.Doesn't embarrass me (Not too goofy, can be serious when necessary, doesn't make me feel uncomfortable)
9. Rude, walks around like he owns the place, invades privacy
10. Argues, yells, distant
For once, I just wish I had someone who actually respected me and liked me for me. It would also be nice to actually have someone to bring to all these family events, for instance, the wedding this weekend. Once again, I'm the only single one. Bummer.

Word.
So, I finally bought an apron! It's sooooo cute! I love cooking and baking and now I have a cute apron so my clothes don't get dirty! yay! I also bought a holiday recipe magazine. How excited am I to try them out? Oh so excited!...I'm such a weirdo!
And you know that Hobby Lobby book I've been thinking about writing?...haha more things need to be added. oh the juicy gossip of Hobby Lobby. Drama, Drama, Drama....yikes!
The countdown to 25days of Christmas on ABCFamily has begun. Oh my goodness, I love Christmas movies. <3

Oh Stress and Joy
In one week exactly my amazing family will be coming together for a joyous occasion....Justin and Norma's wedding. Oh my lanta, where has the time gone? I mean the wedding is almost here. It seems like they just got engaged. Time slow down please? Although, I'll be glad when it's over. So much stress in the atmosphere! I'm so excited to see all of family and especially to have us all together. That won't happen much anymore. Everyone is growing up. Married and soon babies. Money is tight, and it's hard to bring everyone together. It's just kinda sad. However, next week and weekend will be so awesome! Seeing the sights in Georgia, pulling all nighters for video games, lots of catching up and long talks, and naturally lots of laughter and trips down memory lane. I <3 my family.
Christmas is almost here. yikes. I mean the stores are playing Christmas music already. I am constantly finding myself humming or singing Christmas songs. Help! I like to actually wait for the season. Also, since Christmas has arrived technically, the rude customers are out. The mess begins. Busy, long days, that never stop. Constantly having to wrap ornaments, and call trees by saying names like frosty, snowman, or twinkle toes. (k, so I made up the last one) haha. But seriously, everyone is putting up a fight about being right and getting their way. And it's only just begun. Tis' the season! haha Eh, I kinda like it sometimes. Also, I think it's been hard because my work has been going through a transition with a new manager. Everyone is still adjusting and figuring things out. I think it'll be good though. It's what our store needs I think. Oh man though, Christmas will be so weird this year. Me and parents. I'm not use to that. I won't have anyone to wake up or to wait until my turn to open gifts. haha. :( I need a bf then we can at least do all the fun Christmas things together and I won't be lonely. Parades, seeing all the lights, window shopping, parties...blah pity party. haha
haha....oh twilight. No worries. I will be seeing it at midnight next Thursday/Friday with Mom, Molly, Kara, and Dayne. I am beyond pumped. Too bad I don't really remember much from the 2nd book. I need to reread it. Btw that website I like.. MLIA (mylifeisaverage), had a post on it the other day. It's hilarious. "Today, while taking a walk outside, I passed a girl who looked about 11. She was singing "santa clause is coming to town" but with some of the words changed. I didn't realize what she was singing until I heard "he sees you when you're sleeping. you knows when you're awake. his name is edward cullen so be ready to get raped." you have restored my faith in today's youth, little girl. MLIA" hahahahaha I died laughing. I love twilight don't get me wrong, but Edward could totally be a creeper.
Oh, I should probably list my major stresses, since that is in my title. I feel busy, like unusually busy. I need time to myself, maybe a vacation?! I need some time to breathe and take things in. However, I can't find that time. Maybe I need to go on a nice long run? or maybe a drive? Idk. Um, along with time quickly coming and going, January is approaching quickly. What am I doing with my life?...I don't know. School here, school in Utah, work, no work...um I really don't know. I'm still trying to figure things out. Worst feeling ever. Okay probably not the worst, but it definitely is up there. Sometimes I would like to fast forward through these decisions when life is some what making sense. But when does it ever? And besides I'd hate to miss the good times.

Hello, new music?! I love the recent music I have bought. All the artists have been making me very happy. Dashboard...thank you for being like my favorite band and coming out with a new cd. Okay so on Carrie Underwood's new cd, she has this song entitled "Songs Like This" I love this song.... like I full on turn it up and bust it out. ...Banging on the steering wheel, dancing like a fool. If I posted the lyrics, it wouldn't make sense. (revenge, boys suck?!haha) It's just catchy, and a feel good girl-power song. haha. Listen to it. really. haha.
Why does my grammar and spell checker never work for my posts?...grr. I really have no idea what else I wanted to say in this post. Eh here's to the joys and stresses of life, I suppose. haha. xoxo

Long Week?
Years ago my father posted this on the refrigerator....I feel it's very much appropriate for my week. :)
Has it been a long week?
Feeling a little tired?
Are you this tired?
The week is almost over! (Don't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive.)
haha...oh life. xoxo

Wedding No No's

I went to a wedding yesterday. It was um interesting. Seriously, I realize things go wrong on the wedding day but some are avoidable...
~Chewing Gum, yeah...no. Anyone in the bridal party, and especially the bride or groom. Smacking gum does not come off as a happy sight.
~If it rains or is freezing cold outside, have a backup plan.
~Make sure the announcer knows what the Happy couple's name is going to be. Don't use the wrong name.
~If you're getting married, actually look happy. Heavens it's your wedding day.
~Let the organist know when to cut off, so he's not still playing the wedding march for 5 mins while the bride is already up front.
~Don't have some opera guy singing and boring people.
~Don't have everything last for 4hrs.
~Open Bar...seriously? no.
~Um don't laugh the entire time during the vows, especially if you're the bride.
~Make sure the Mother or the Bride, and the Maid Of Honor isn't wasted during the wedding.
~ Have the DJ have things ready and set up for the dancing.
~Don't spend a fortune on the tuxs and dresses when they are just basic and plain.
~There should be a recieving line so people can actually see the Bride and Groom.
~Make sure people know what the plan is. Also the time things are happening and what they need to be doing. So you don't make everyone wait around.
~Don't have a baby before the wedding.
~And last, it's just plain sad not to be married in the temple...especially if you have grown up in the church and know the importance of the temple.
Word. xoxo.
Laughter.

"Judging by the spills on this guy’s shirt he obviously can’t handle something important like a cell phone in his hands. You would figure someone would have invented some sort of hands free talking device by now, but I guess it’s only 2009 so we can’t expect that type of technology yet. Texas"
Let's just say I'm going to start bringing my camera to Walmart from now on. xoxo

Starlight, Starbright, first star I see....oh Meteor Shower!
"The Orionids have been one of the best showers of the year, with counts of 60 or more meteors per hour."

Basically I just saw this, in the perfect clear sky tonight. Um, hello complete bliss?! I think so! I can't get over how clear the sky was, there were so many stars. They actually were for real twinkling. The meteor shower...incredible! Seriously perfection. Except for the fact I witnessed this event alone. Eh well, I don't need someone. I would probably still be out there if it wasn't for the dang cold weather. At least I got to see some of it! =)
p.s. Aaron comes home tomorrow..yay!

10-4 good buddy!
It's the little things in life. You know?...
I talked to Abby tonight. It's been a while. Miss her tons! It was so good catching up with her. Like for real good. Warm fuzzies, make your week good type thing. That sounds weird, but you know the feeling I'm talking about. We laughed and joked and exchanged stories. We had a good time. I love friends.
Today at church, I had someone come up to me and say they need Stephanie time really soon. It's nice that people want my time.
I also got a surprise note in the mail yesterday. It was just a thank you card from a dear friend. Nevertheless it made my day. I like feeling appreciated.
I sat with my family around the dining room table. This usually leads to reminiscing about childhood memories. Which tonight included:~ my baptism day with a door that took off my toenail, flat McDonald's soda, a my mom blow drying my underwear cause I forgot an extra pair. ~Playing with toys when we were suppose to be cleaning and listening for the creak of the stairs to know the parents were coming ~ A group project video with bad actors "I did not know that" ~Losing a shoe in the escalator on my way to see Santa and asking for a new shoe ~All day Christmas event opening presents ~Singing and dancing to "Oops I Did It Again" in 6th grade ~Basic H shake and the belt with the hooks. ~The black dancing bag that my mom made that 3 kids used. Oh family :)
I talked to one of my friends on skype this evening. I felt bad because I wasn't really talkative. However, it was still really nice. They are one of those friends I feel like I could sit in silence and still feel like I had a really great conversation with.
And today I got a random text from my cousin, just simply stating he loved me.
I'm telling you it's the small things in life that mean the most. It's not hard to put a smile on my face and to brighten my entire day.
Ps. I have my Halloween costume. It's not a flapper. It's better. I never buy Halloween costumes, I make due with what I have. This year I bought one. I probably spent too much, but it's totally worth it. Robyn Da Hood...complete with money bag!
Don't judge me. It looks slutty. It's not on me. I made it modest. It's definitely not that short and I'm wearing a shirt underneath. People don't need to see too much. I'm so excited. I look good in it. haha. xoxo

Another Time Another Place
I want to write in my blog more, but I think I get overwhelmed by all of my thoughts. Or I tend to think that whatever I have to say isn't worth reading. (Which is probably true). So then I go weeks without posting until I get something really good. This isn't one of those posts though...haha. I have lots on my mind. Which tends to be the case for me a lot lately. I'm a tad overwhelmed, my brain needs to stop turning the wheels so fast or hitting the replay button because it's quickly getting burned out. So here it goes, this will be a long one. (This will probably be more for me than anyone else's benefit) What's on the mind of Stephanie Joyner?
NERD ALERT: I have come to the conclusion that deep down inside of all of us is a nerd. No denying we are all nerds. Live, Love, Embrace it. Some of us are hardcore gamers, some have nerdy computer skills, some are nerds about mythological creatures, some are nerds about random useless facts, some are harry potter nerds, and so on. I am nerdy in lots of things, I will admit. One in particular is my obsession with the stars. I don't know all the names or the alignments. ( I'm sure one day I will pick up a book and learn them though) I love to admire them. To think about life. I think it's vital for everyone to be in sync with nature and just enjoy the beauty. Most of the time people are too caught up in their lives they forget to stop and admire. I try get away and to reconnect with nature. Somehow I feel complete looking at them. There is no worries in the world, just pure bliss. My problems don't seem so big. Also, this is the time (besides the temple) that I feel closest to God. He's not so far away when I'm out underneath the stars. I seriously could spend forever looking at them. I love shooting stars and making wishes on them. (They never come true btw, but I'll continue wishing) I was inspired to get out my telescope last night. But to my disappointment it was broken. I was completely bummed. And now I'm in search of a new one. Particularly one that I don't have to spend $300+ on. Then I could spend my evenings looking at the stars. However, my all time favorite thing is to have a very near and dear friend look at them with me and just talk. Too bad I don't have many friends that share that same obsession with me. One day...
So earlier this week the geniuses of NASA decided that they needed to send a bomb to the moon to blow part of it in order to see if there is water. So when the Earth runs out of water we have somewhere to go. Okay seriously dumb move! I mean did they think about it? The particles could ruin the moon, they could go into orbit and come at Earth, they could throw off the whole solar system. Okay not really, but seriously they're are better ways to do things. Didn't they ever see Armageddon? Drill a hole dang it! They spent millions maybe even billions of dollars to send a bomb. What a waste of money. And another thing, who does NASA think they are? It's the moon, what gave them the right to decide what to do? Hello, this affects the entire world. Did they talk to other countries? My goodness!

Music basically is my life. haha. I know, people say that all the time. But it's true. I'm always singing or listening to something. I tend to connect music with memories. I think it helps me remember things better. By listening to certain songs I can remember what was happening, what my feelings wore, and sometimes even conversations. I also tend to try and look for the perfect song with the perfect lyrics to fit my life at that moment. It's a habit. I like being able to have a song that describes my life.
I'm writing a book. I say that a lot. Most of my books ideas are pure humor and for people who need entertainment. I don't think people should take them seriously, however they might. Well I've only written a few pages for my other silly books. But this one, will be different. I love NCIS. I don't know who will understand this reference. *Correction* McGee in the show writes a book about his work, but changes the names. I want to do the same thing. What really happens at the Hob Lob. haha. That would be quite the story. Drama Drama Drama. I hate drama. I avoid it at all costs. I don't really need to know every little detail about everyone's life. Some things need to be kept to themselves. I go to work and do my job. Some people lose sight of that. I get frustrated because when I go to work someone always has something bad to say about somebody. So much constant gossip. My heavens just be nice and it will all be perfectly okay. Be happy and be thankful you have a job. Then there is the customers. That is like a whole book in itself. I like people, I really do. I'm very much of a people person. But whoever said the customer is always right...complete bull. They aren't. Why do they insist on getting their way? Then they come huffin and puffin at me like I went and made the rules and regulations. Hello most of you have a job or have common sense you know there are things you can and can not do. Get over it! Just because you're having a bad day doesn't give you the right to come to me and throw your attitude in my face. I'm sorry you had a bad day but take it out it in a different way. Take a run. I'm a nice person. I have lots of patience. I am a happy person who looks for the positive. It's in my nature. I'm trying to help and I'm going to be respectful to you and treat you with kindness. But don't think because I am a cashier that that gives you the right to walk all over me. Because I will not stand for it. It gets me so frustrated sometimes. See this book sounds more and more interesting doesn't it? I really won't follow through with any of my ideas. It's a pure joke. I always come home and tell my dad about my day, he said I need to write a book. I like the idea. It would be pretty funny. Maybe it's just one of those funny jokes, that's only humorous to me.
You ever feel completely lost in your purpose in life?...story of my life right now. I'm trying to figure out what the Lord wants me to do. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. It always is. I have complete trust in Heavenly Father. I know He knows me better than I know myself and I know if I do His will, it will all be okay and turn out better than I ever could imagine. I'm willingly to do whatever it takes. So what's the problem? Getting the answer. I need like a clear cut answer. I keep praying and getting this is right or this is right, but then I try everything in my power and it fails. It's this constant cycle. Nothing comes easy in my life. I like to pretend, but everything I have ever wanted I have had to fail numerous times before I can succeed. Maybe it's a trial to see if I really want it and I'm willingly to do whatever it takes. Eh, life is hard. (But it's not suppose to be easy, I know that. Otherwise there is no point in living.) I miss...BYU/Utah. Lots. I know if you talk to me often, I usually say that. I'm sure it gets annoying. I can't help it. It's constantly on my mind. Don't get me wrong home is way nice, but it's just not the right place for me (Not that I have any idea what place is right for me right now). I miss my friends, my roommies, the Enclave, beautiful campus, classes (haha who would have thought?! I love going to class and learning!), my amazing ward, always having something to do, and well everything. I miss all of it. I know it's very good to be here. Working is good, figuring out health issues is good. Working on my self is good. There are benefits to being here and I know I just need to be happy and look forward, but sometimes I get down. There is always that little voice in my head saying, "Nope there are other things you need to be doing. BYU makes you happy. Do what makes you happy." Aha those dang voices in my head (that makes me sound mental. haha) I just want to turn them off. Too much thinking. That will not do. I will deal, just like always. I will make the best of this situation and it will come and go. Time moves quickly. Especially now. What seems like forever to me, passes in a glimpse. I always think about Heavenly Father and how our individual life can just be a glimpse in His time. The Lord's time. That I wish I could comprehend better.
You knew this time was coming. I mean seriously don't think that this is not on my mind. Being Single. Blah. Another annoying subject I tend to discuss way too much. Being single is good, sometimes. Most of the time I don't approve. I came to the point where I was ok with it. I mean I don't think I'm really happy about it. Sure I can work on myself, and sure I can listen to everyone else who says the right guy is around the corner. But come on. Seriously? I can only take so much of pointless talk. It doesn't make me feel any better. Whenever I'm with a friend dating is always brought up. It's unavoidable, people have to discuss the matter. It's in human nature. I hate the topic. haha. I get tired of the mushy stuff. Mainly, because I have nothing to say in return. Boys are overrated. How middle school thing to say, but I have my reasons. The main one being, in the past I have not been treated very well. No details will be shared about these experiences, just trust me. I settle. I'll admit that. I tend to think I deserve less than I really do. It's a problem I'm working on. I think I missed the memo on love. I swear everyone I know is engaged, or getting married. It's that wonderful time in my life, I suppose. In the movies the wedding date there is a quote that says, "Every woman has the exact love life she wants," or something like that. I don't know if I believe that or not. All I know is that I am so over being single. However, I'm also rather tried of dating. It's nice having some company and getting a free meal, but eh most of the time is just isn't worth it. I just can't find a happy medium apparently. Aha well, one day I'll be happily married and look back on these years and see how things just worked out for the best...or maybe I'll just laugh. ha! I'm done raving like a teenager girl now. :)
This picture could describe lots of things I'm thinking. 1. my endless goals and to do lists. I want to read all of the books on the top classic books in America or whatever those lists are called. I love reading, I never have time. Lately it takes me forever to get through a book. I hate it. However I usually try to multitask read. So I read like 5 books at once. Who knows, how I do that. My list right not consist of mainly spiritual and uplifting books. Always a plus. I also have many other goals I want to accomplish, which are not getting any progress in them. Grr, dang work and other priorities. One day. 2. This picture can describe perfectly my climb towards exultation. Which everyone is working towards. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too hard on myself or maybe not hard enough. I need to be better at lots of things. I always wonder if what I'm doing is enough. You know? I mean I know I can always be better, but it's like a never ending goal. I wonder when judgment day comes, did I do enough? Will I honestly be able to be straightforward and say, I have done everything I could do. It's a scary thought! I don't want to fail, and I can't help but wonder what if I do?
I have to admit, I love blogging. But even more so, I love reading others blogs. I love seeing into other people's minds and catching a glimpse of their thoughts. I think it is just so fascinating. Some people are so creative and others see things in such a unique way. I bet when people read my blog they are like..aha what a freak. haha. It's like reading someone's story. I love being able to relate to people. Oh that reminded me, not that this has to do with blogging. New York Times started a website/project where they pick random people in NY and capture their life. It's called 1 in 8million. I'm so mad I didn't think of this idea. It would be something I'd think of. I think it's so cool. There is an LDS missionary, and even an ex bank robber. It's kinda neat. Look at it! http://www.nytimes.com/packages/html/nyregion/1-in-8-million/index.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1255041238-5rSDHjEuxax0ZwIHrLDAww
That's right Halloween is on my mind. I forget how much I love Halloween. Corn maze (I always get lost for a few hours no matter what. Even if I had a dang map it doesn't help), pumpkin carving (I can't even carve a jack-o-lantern, I just like getting my hands dirty and taking out the guts. haha), haunted houses (Love them!), and parties! So I have never really like dressing up for Halloween because my costume ideas are always so lame. This year, I'm dressing up as a flapper! haha. Lisa is going to be a gansta mobster, and I'm her flapper friend. PAH! Should be fun. We got some sick Halloween parties we're attending.
Okay seriously, I feel like I just rambled through all of this post. It's all such random thoughts. If you read this far, man oh man I apologize. I've been writing this post for like a week. That's how much stuff is on my mind. I can't even believe how much is going on up there. This doesn't even graze the top of it! Aha well. You know you love me! xoxo

Conference Weekend!

Holla! I love love love conference weekend! It's probably the best time of the year. I have always wanted to actually go to a conference session. It's the prophet and apostles for heavens sake! It would be such a wonderful experience. However, timing has never allowed me to be out there during conference time. One day. And for real one day I'll be singing in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, just wait and see.

Anyways, I'm bummed I have to work tomorrow. So I'll be missing tomorrows sessions. Thank you for DVR, so it'll be recorded and I can watch it on my day off next week. Although, I love watching it the same time as everyone else does... live, it's a different experience. Oh well a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do.

So a few years ago my dad was being himself and he gave Justin and I a General Conference activity packet. It was for children full of coloring, mazes, bingo, etc.-Ways for kids to pay attention. Well I loved it! haha surprising?! naw. And I always forget to print one out, but this year I remembered! I'm really excited. I already take notes but it's cool to like find a way to get even more out of it, and to have something entertaining to do. I love conference, but 4 hours in one day just listening to people talk, I have to give me something to do while I listen. This way I'm doing something that pertains to conference and I listen more intently to the words. Brilliant! The links are above. Check them out! Print them for your kiddies or you know for you. haha. Enjoy Conference! xoxo

Reflections of Christ
K there is this website, some of you may have heard about it. It's called Reflections of Christ. It's an exhibit somewhere in the states. I'm not sure where, it's always moving. Anyways there is this photographer and he uses people and portrays the life of Jesus Christ. It's beautiful. I mean breathtaking. The work is stunning and definitely pulls at your heart strings in a good way. There is a book that you can buy, or a dvd, or you can buy the music on itunes or just go to the site and look at some of the work and behind the scenes. It's so cool. Check it out. :)
Well they just started a new website
That is all. xoxo

Where a kid can be a kid!

So I have this idea that would be a really good date. I want to get a group together and have a whole day dedicated to being a kid again. So watch the kiddie shows (Banana in Pajamas, Dragon Tales, Arthur, wishbone, reading rainbow, comfy couch..to name a few. haha) or children movies(usually disney). Have kiddie snacks. (fruit snacks, juice boxes, dirt worm things, all the creative named foods) Go to the park and play, finger-paint, color, build a clubhouse/forts, play barbies, play games(red-rover, hide n seek, london bridge, 4square, kickball, ring around the rosy, hop-scotch, etc.), have story time and read children books (I love you forever, junie b jones, dr. suess, etc.) and just be a kid. How fun would that be?! It would be nice to just let go and have some fun! aha, one day soon I'll go on this date. Oh the hopes of a 20yr old. haha.

Anyways, what got me thinking about all of this is I was thinking about the silly things I did and said as a child. Which included ridiculous rhymes and songs. I remembered some of them and googled it. Maybe some of you will remember too. Aha just look at this. I can't believe the things i learned.

Miss Suzie had a baby, she named him Tiny Tim.
She put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim.
He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap.
He tried to eat the bathtub but it wouldn't fit down his throat.
Miss Suzie called the doctor, Miss Suzie called the nurse
Miss Suzie called the lady with the alligator purse.
Chicken pox said the doctor, measles said the nurse
Nothing said the lady with the alligator purse.
Miss Suzie knocked the doctor. Miss Suzie punched the nurse.
Miss Suzie paid the lady with the alligator purse!

~Remember when boys had cooties and you had to get a cootie shot...circle circle dot dot now i got my cootie

~Remember the silly hand clapping games that people would play during recess? My personal favorite..slide. Slide baby one baby two baby i love you. haha
~The classic comebacks...I know you are but what am I?, I am rubber and you are glue whatever you says bounces off of me and sticks to you., Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.

~Silly sayings... Don't be such a butt for...what's a butt for?, I see London I see France I see someone's underpants., Are you positive? Only fools are positive.

haha oh childhood. =)

Onward!

Yay updated blog layout and extra cuteness! Click-able links to the right! yay yay!
So it's late...ignore the time. haha. I can't sleep so I came to my blog. It's been a while..i apologize. I don't have anything interesting to say so I'll make this quick and expound later.

~I'm 20!...yowza! It's pretty sweet actually. I can't believe 20yrs of my life has gone by. It was all in a flash. I know sometimes it seems like forever for time to pass but then you find yourself looking back and thinking "Wow! What happened? Where did the time go?" I still feel like I'm a little kid who doesn't know anything. haha funny how life works that way. My birthday was fabulous. It was really nice to get lots of fb posts, texts, phone calls, etc. It just makes you feel important and makes you feel like people are happy that you were born...selfish i know. haha.

~I miss my friends in Provo. I get so easily attached. It's not the same at home. I have friends but not a lot. It's a different kind of friendship with the people at home and BYU. I can't explain it. School has started again, and people get busy. Sometimes people forget about their friends. I know friendship goes both ways. I'm pretty good at keeping in touch with people, however sometimes, like I said, people get busy. I don't want to get forgotten. I love my friends. I need them.

~I'm easily getting more and more hooked on exercising. I'm remembering why I like running. It's nice to feel free and to just listen to music and think things through. I've become very determined to exercise and to get healthy. Besides I feel a lot happier when I work out. I'm trying...
~Attitude. I'm working on mine. I've always been an upbeat person but lately I just can't seem to conquer all my fears and doubts. I'm seeing lots of negative. It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when there is too much obstacles/distractions in the way. I'm trying though. It's been hard. Really hard. Although I am pretty bummed about being in Athens I'm trying to find positive. I feel like I'm running out of options. But surprisingly new doors are opening. I'm starting to get the answers I'm looking for. I really do believe if you have an honest desire/obedience to do the Lord's will, he'll provide a way.

~Compliments. I heard once they are like a kiss through a veil. Amen. Sometimes compliments can be very powerful.
~Michigan with Lisa this week! Should be fun! Michigan looks beautiful. I'm interested in her family. They apparently can be a little much at times and like to hammer people about their beliefs. Missionary Opportunity?!

~Work starts in a week. Yikes! There goes my weekends and any hope for a social life. However I am very thankful to have a job and to be getting pretty good pay. Also for it to occupy my time so I don't get bored and lazy. haha

~I really want to get full on decked out in a lovely dress and go out somewhere fancy with a handsome lad. Dancing included naturally...ah well can't win them all.
~Tv shows start up again. I never was hooked on tv shows until like this year. I have a list now. Warehouse 13 (secret agents and artifacts and America's attic), Leverage (Cons working together to actually help people), and then my classic Gossip Girl, House, NCIS...just to name a few. And another good show starting soon. Glee! It's going to be so good. Watch the pilot. :) Here... http://www.fox.com/fod/play.php?sh=glee
And, I ended up writing a lot.I still have lots to talk about, but I'll save it for later. Until next time kiddies! xoxo
Here's a little something something to think about...

Two Steps Forward And One Step Back

Hurray Finals are over! I hate finals. I hate testing. I hate studying for a long time and then being disappointed because I didn't do well. So it's such a relief to say no worries, exams are done. Now I just wait anxiously for my grades to be posted. I like school though. I like going to school and I love learning new things. I don't like not being in school.

I leave in exactly in four days. Four Days! My summer is quickly coming to an end. It's bittersweet. I love summers. Laying by the pool, new friends, lots of adventures, and naturally a ton of lasting memories. (I'll have to make a post and put some pictures of my summer. Look for it) Eventually it has to end, sad day.

I love the Enclave, I love the people I've met and we'll always have facebook. haha. It's been really fun, I've learned a lot about myself and people this summer. I was planning on having this incredible last weekend. One last who-rah! But disappointment got the best of me. Lots of people have left. Going home, moving away, all goodbyes. Goodbyes seem so final. I mean they aren't. I know I'll see everyone again sometime in the future. And besides, it's for the best. Good things lie ahead, my friends. It's exciting really. I like change for the most part. I need change, I hate not having variety in my life. There is always that little piece of fear in you when things change though. That fear about the unknown and what will happen in the future. I think I always have that little piece of fear but it's times like these it's more prudent.( Is that the right word to say?)

What I do not like though, is moving. I just want my own house, and never have to move again. I really hate having to fit all my stuff in boxes and then having to get all my stuff together. Then you have to carry it down the 2.5 flights of stairs. It's such a hassle. I haven't started packing yet. haha. I keep putting it off. (Hence why I am writing a lovely post in my blog)

Aha Going Home. I do love going home. It's going to be really nice. I miss my family, very much so.However Chris and Kara are out here, I'm going to miss them when I leave. I'm especially excited to see my mom. I really miss my mom. We have our differences sometimes, but I really do love seeing her everyday and not just talking to her on the phone. I can seriously tell her anything and I do. I really like that we have such a close relationship. I'm excited to see Karlee and Daddy too!
There will be a lot of things different when I go home. The branch for one. New people...yay! New branch president...yay! Some old faces too...yay! It's going to be a bummer not having Justin go to the branch with me. I liked having him go with me to church. It's nice to have someone there that's family. Some friend situations will be different too. Some things will be the same though. I'm going back to work at Hobby Lobby. I like working there. I just get tired of the long days, and the same routine. I am thankful to have a job though, very fortunate. Even if I am coming back just in time for Christmas mess. Wrapping each individual ornament...yikes! And Customers are a little more pushy and edgy around the holidays. I hate rude customers. But it should be fun! Look forward to more funny Hobby Lobby stories!
I actually have high hopes for the fall. 1.Health wise, I need to get all those issues resolved and get in better shape. 2. Books, I got read all those books I've been wanting to read. 3. Piano, I'm determined to learn to play piano. 4. Just work on myself. 6. Getting myself back to BYU for Winter. 5. Obviously make some good memories. We'll see if I accomplish anything. HA.
I've been having this urge to go dancing. Couple dancing. Crazy, but I really want to. I've been watching all these dancing movies...step up, save the last dance, shall we dance, take the lead, on and on. Kinda weird!
I'm excited to get a break before I start back to work. Laying by the pool getting my tan on and then going to Michigan with my Lisa! Good times!
And fyi, my birthday is really soon. Like two and half weeks. No longer a teenager. whoa! That I can't even believe.
Well, here's to the next change/chapter in my life! xoxo
