"Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
I really love that quote. It was the theme one year at thespian conference. I don't think I really understood what it means until now. It's one of those quotes that a person can look at and it means something specifically for them and then another person can look at it and it means something completely different.
Becoming alive...it's the best way to describe the topic of my thinking lately. I'm at the point in my life where there are lots of things weighing on my mind and lots of things to think about. A lot of decisions are being made and I really have to evaluate myself.
I'm turning 20 this year. Whoa buddy! I mean that's two whole decades I've been alive. It a long time, and goodness it has flown by. I won't be a teenager anymore. It's a very weird thought. I always figured when I turned 20 I would know what I want out of life, and be able to be on my own and know what I'm doing with myself. I assumed I'd be more prepared. Well here it is, and I still have no clue what I'm doing. Grant it, I do feel like I'm very capable of doing a lot of things, but I still need someone holding my hand every step of the way. Which, maybe, as time goes on everyone will always need someone to hold their hand. I'm not saying I thought I'd be on my own and all independent, I just thought I wouldn't have to have someone constantly there. I guess I question myself a lot. haha
Anyways, I've been trying to figure out my own purpose in life. Everyone has a specific reason for being the person they are. Steps and goals that they each individually have to accomplish. So I'm trying to figure out just what I need to do, and who I really am suppose to be, but goodness it's a hard thing to do! I'm trying to keep the future in mind, but it's hard enough trying to make it through one day. It's all very overwhelming. I think sometimes I just get in over my head and try so hard to accomplish everything at once. It takes time, it's a process.
So the process will continue until I reach my goal, and then I'm sure another process will be begin. It's all seems never-ending and at the same time all very wonderful.
So I encourage y'all to become alive and change the world, even if it is just your world. :)
This Moment Is You... I’ll taste every moment and live it out. More than a name or a face in the crowd. I know this is the time. I’m out on the edge of forever ready to run. This is the time of my life.

And then it snowed.....
Snow day!!! So last week it rained a ton, and then Sunday came. The rumor was that it was going to snow, but seriously that was so unlikely. I mean it wasn't cold enough and it wouldn't stick if it did snow. Then I'm sitting in church and I start to see through the blinds snow falling. This isn't like sleet or like light snow. There are huge flakes falling from the sky so naturally I can't pay attention in church anymore. So church ends and the snow is just a falling. It was coming down so fast. Everyone at church is throwing snowballs and it has been fun times. Well I had to wipe off my car and get home before it got too bad. Well dang wouldn't you know Stephanie doesn't know how to drive in the snow! haha it was kinda scary. I was going slow but still I was sliding all over the road. Anyways I made it home safely and loved watching the snow fall. It was beautiful all white and perfect. It snowed nonstop for hours. Everything was covered. I've never seen so much snow in my life. There was about 6 inches on the ground. It was so pretty! The power went out from 3 in the afternoon until like 2 in the morning. Also all my technology died. What a bummer. I didn't know what to do in the dark. haha Pretty crazy. I did get snow cream! I took full advantage of that. I had about 8 cups or so. haha All in all the snow was totally worth it!

At church when it was snowing!
