Oh yeah 2012!! Another lovely year, another new beginning. So, that means New Year's Resolutions!
I read my post from last year, talk about yikes! Reviewing it I noticed I didn't do so well on keeping them last year. So not like me! I did do some of them though! This past year has definitely been a tough one for me but I did learn a lot about myself. I am so glad that it is over and glad to start with a new year. Hopefully 2012 will be awesome and memorable!
So what are my goals? Well, I will tell you! Some of them are broad and I want them more specific. I just don't know how to do that yet.
- Take more pictures. --It's impossible to scrapbook with lack of pictures, and to decorate my apartment.
- Pray every morning and night.
- Read scriptures daily. --Find a way to relate to them. Write in my scripture journal my impressions.
- Get into my healthy weight range. --That means like losing twenty-five pounds. Not too bad right?
- Organize my clutter. Ha. --Pack Rat. I have so many things that I hang on to because I may use it someday, although that like never happens.
- Do well in school. Keep up on my reading and actually set aside time to study the things from classes.
- Write more in bloggy blog.
- I'm doing personal progress with my mom. Ha. (That's the young women's program for my church.) --Since, she is the president she wants to do it in order to relate more to the girls and see what it is all about since they didn't have that when she was in young women's. And I want to redo it because it's been years since I completed it and I just remember I learned so much and my testimony grew so much because of it.
- I am going to do more for me. Do what I want to do. --Most people want to serve more, well that's really great I love serving, but I have kind of lost track of what I want in life. So I am fixing that this year!
- Write my prayers down. --Now this one will be unique. I think it will help me. I most likely won't do this every night just once a week. It'll be good to see what I'm praying for and think things out more to make my prayers more meaningful.
That's about all I can think of currently. Sound exciting right? So what are your New Year's goals?
So for New Year's I spent it with my family. Justin and Norma made delicious Mexican food. Norma made guacamole. I hate guacamole, but she made it all fancy. It was like a salsa flavor. Yummy. So I like her guacamole. I watched Norma as she was cooking, she has some unique ways of cooking. Like how she cuts a tomato. I want to do it like she does. She holds it and dices it so fast in her hand. I was impressed. The rest of the food was good too. I tried lots of new things. Fried onions? Yeah. Oh and my mom made Reese's homemade ice cream. I seriously need to get myself an ice cream churn. Ha ha.
We played video games too; racing, HP legos, Dance 3. The new Dance 3 game is sweet!! It was a lot of fun to play and good music.
Then we watched the Peach Drop/New Year's Ball drop side by side on the television.
This is where I had some awesome pics of the peach and ball drop from this year, but the internet apparently hates those photos on here and keeps freezing my blog. So google it. Ha Ha.
Also, I got to spend time with my adorable niece! She is such a happy baby all the time! Plus, she is so good at walking, with some help of course. She is only like 7 months. She's way mature for her age.
(Ignore my hideous face with acne. Every time I come home it breaks out.)
Yay Zara! She apparently looks like me from when I was younger.
Welp, that's enough rambling. Look forward to another update about my home adventures!
xoxo
