Two Steps Forward And One Step Back

Hurray Finals are over! I hate finals. I hate testing. I hate studying for a long time and then being disappointed because I didn't do well. So it's such a relief to say no worries, exams are done. Now I just wait anxiously for my grades to be posted. I like school though. I like going to school and I love learning new things. I don't like not being in school.

I leave in exactly in four days. Four Days! My summer is quickly coming to an end. It's bittersweet. I love summers. Laying by the pool, new friends, lots of adventures, and naturally a ton of lasting memories. (I'll have to make a post and put some pictures of my summer. Look for it) Eventually it has to end, sad day.

I love the Enclave, I love the people I've met and we'll always have facebook. haha. It's been really fun, I've learned a lot about myself and people this summer. I was planning on having this incredible last weekend. One last who-rah! But disappointment got the best of me. Lots of people have left. Going home, moving away, all goodbyes. Goodbyes seem so final. I mean they aren't. I know I'll see everyone again sometime in the future. And besides, it's for the best. Good things lie ahead, my friends. It's exciting really. I like change for the most part. I need change, I hate not having variety in my life. There is always that little piece of fear in you when things change though. That fear about the unknown and what will happen in the future. I think I always have that little piece of fear but it's times like these it's more prudent.( Is that the right word to say?)

What I do not like though, is moving. I just want my own house, and never have to move again. I really hate having to fit all my stuff in boxes and then having to get all my stuff together. Then you have to carry it down the 2.5 flights of stairs. It's such a hassle. I haven't started packing yet. haha. I keep putting it off. (Hence why I am writing a lovely post in my blog)

Aha Going Home. I do love going home. It's going to be really nice. I miss my family, very much so.However Chris and Kara are out here, I'm going to miss them when I leave. I'm especially excited to see my mom. I really miss my mom. We have our differences sometimes, but I really do love seeing her everyday and not just talking to her on the phone. I can seriously tell her anything and I do. I really like that we have such a close relationship. I'm excited to see Karlee and Daddy too!
There will be a lot of things different when I go home. The branch for one. New people...yay! New branch president...yay! Some old faces too...yay! It's going to be a bummer not having Justin go to the branch with me. I liked having him go with me to church. It's nice to have someone there that's family. Some friend situations will be different too. Some things will be the same though. I'm going back to work at Hobby Lobby. I like working there. I just get tired of the long days, and the same routine. I am thankful to have a job though, very fortunate. Even if I am coming back just in time for Christmas mess. Wrapping each individual ornament...yikes! And Customers are a little more pushy and edgy around the holidays. I hate rude customers. But it should be fun! Look forward to more funny Hobby Lobby stories!
I actually have high hopes for the fall. 1.Health wise, I need to get all those issues resolved and get in better shape. 2. Books, I got read all those books I've been wanting to read. 3. Piano, I'm determined to learn to play piano. 4. Just work on myself. 6. Getting myself back to BYU for Winter. 5. Obviously make some good memories. We'll see if I accomplish anything. HA.

I've been having this urge to go dancing. Couple dancing. Crazy, but I really want to. I've been watching all these dancing movies...step up, save the last dance, shall we dance, take the lead, on and on. Kinda weird!

I'm excited to get a break before I start back to work. Laying by the pool getting my tan on and then going to Michigan with my Lisa! Good times!
And fyi, my birthday is really soon. Like two and half weeks. No longer a teenager. whoa! That I can't even believe.

Well, here's to the next change/chapter in my life! xoxo

Cough, Cough, Hack, Hack

Perfect Timing....

for the flu. Not.

So my body decided it needed a bigger challenge so it decided to catch the flu. Perfection. Like could there be better timing? I started getting sick Wednesday after my lovely date. Which is kind of a downer. But fyi the date was amazing. And then the night came, and I didn't sleep at all. I couldn't keep warm. I had to turn off my fan, put on sweats, a long sleeve shirt, a winter's coat, and 2 extra blankets. I still could not move because I was shivering so bad. My roommate explained to me the next day that it was actually a really hot night. Well I ended up getting up a 5 something and watching Wall E. Trying to go back to sleep. Well things just got worse!

Thank goodness for an amazing brother who looks out for me. He missed most of work to take me to the urgent care. Where some funny things happened. First off, I don't think the receptionist knew how to hit play on the dvd menu because they had Shrek in and over and over again it kept playing "oh pick me pick me pick meeeeee." After paper work, and lots of sitting I finally was able to get in a room. Where the nurse asked me questions. After that I had to wait for another room to open. I finally got in one. The doctor came in. He was an interesting fellow. He was trying to be funny I think. He asked me normal questions to figure out what is wrong, and then very seriously he asked me "Do you hear nonexistent voices in your head?" I laughed, that's when I realized he was serious. I told him no, and he replied, "That's probably a good thing." Well it came down to it, that I have influenza. (Another fancy word for the flu) Although, I did find it odd that for the most part he just went off what I said and didn't check much. Oh well. He gave me lots of drugs. Those are quite helpful. He gave me a note for my professors and told me to rest for a week. A week?! I have papers, exams, and finals. Bad timing!

I went home and emailed my professors, they were understanding about me being sick and are letting me put things off until Monday. Well I don't know what happened after that, it's kinda hazy. 2 days past. Lots of movies, lots of sleeping, lots of soup, crackers, and sprite, and lots of people calling to check up on me. How thoughtful. I was alone enduring this sickness. My roommates were gone, and man I hate having to take care of myself when I'm sick. It stinks! Although, Christian and Kara were very helpful. Thanks guys for looking out for me, I love you!

It's Saturday, I'm not completely over it, but much better.I have a nasty cough, and my medicine puts me out so I'm avoiding it until bedtime. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you're sick. I wrote my 15page paper, read some, and worked on some other homework. I feel pretty accomplished for being sick.

I hardly get sick, but when I do, it's always the flu. Daggum it! It's not as bad as it could have been though, thanks to taking my vitamins daily. Woot woot! So moral of the story, don't get sick, but if you do make sure you're always taking your vitamins. The End. Oh and finals are next week. Yikes! Also, I go home in a week and a half. Yipee! That is all. xoxo

My Amazing 4th of July

I'm a tad behind, but here below are pics from Stadium of Fire! I was kinda far away from the stage so my pictures didn't turn out too great, but hey I was there. I'll remember. First off, it was amazing! It didn't rain at all, thank goodness. There was some lightening during fireworks, but it just added to the effects. SheDaisy was amazing live, I rediscovered my love for them. Jonas Brothers are just beautiful and I had a blast singing along to all of their songs. And my friend, Jason who went with me, got to hear me scream my lungs out. Lucky him. They did an outstanding job with the setup. I got pretty emotional during the whole production, and it made me think about what it means to live in America and how far we have come. Thanks to all the people who make that possible. God bless the USA! <3

Here's the stage....woot woot!

The planes flying overhead.

Glenn Beck

The cute dancers, they did so good!

Th American Flag, which they ended up retiring at the end of the Show. Look at all the people too...dang!

SheDaisy!

A better picture of SheDaisy

One of my favorite songs by SheDaisy! It sounds a little rough. haha

Crazy pyro's! haha it was sooo cool though! Jump-roping with fire and also on stilts!

Jonas Brothers!!

They're so talented!

My favorite song by them, When You Look Me In The Eyes. Sorry it's bad quality!

The Jonas Brothers get their inspiration from everybody from Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beatles. It's so cool. They preformed Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond for the adults. I loved it!

And of course there was incredible fireworks!

The military bringing in that huge flag

The flag burning, it was intense, very emotional, and a very powerful experience.

More fireworks!

This is me and my friend Jason, who came with me! I'm so glad he did! It was one of the best nights, unforgettable. :)
